At Terrace...

Naina was walking back and forth in tension while biting her thumbnail. She was wondering what could be the best surprise party for Sameer on his 28th birthday? She has experimented with all types of parties and surprises in nine years, and this was going to be the tenth one so it should be the best as it's his last birthday as her fiance. From next year he will celebrate his special day with her as her husband. She mingled her fingers, her steps slow and so does her mind, and irrelevant ideas entered her brain.

"Kya soch rahi ho?" Sameer's voice echoed in her ear, and Naina quickly composed herself, turning back to look at him.

"Kkuch nahi." She stammered while averting her gaze, her lips pressed tighter, and he could feel something was cooking in her cunning brain.

"Bolo na." He insisted, not able to comprehend the reason behind her tensed form.

"Arey yaar nothing, bas shadi aa rahi hai na humari toh usi ke bare me kuch soch rahi thi," Naina said with an easy-breezy smile on her face which coerced Sameer to believe her.

"Shadi ka kya sochna meri jaan, sochna hai toh honeymoon ka socho." He said amusingly while locking his beefy arms on her lower back.

"Yeh baat tum keh rahe ho?" She looked at him disbelievingly.

"Haa kyun?" Sameer quizzically stared at her.

"Believe nahi ho raha...tumhare muh se honeymoon ki baatein hazam nahi ho rahi." Naina teased her boyfriend while sliding her palm on his nape, drawing his head closer to her smiling face.

"Toh kiski baatein karu? Tirth Yatra ki?" Sameer asked her sarkily.

"Awww! Bura laga?" She giggled.

"No, ab aadat ho gayi hai." He winked at her and then shifted his gaze at the moon peeking at them with a glittering smile spread on his face.

"Achi baat hai, waise...is baar ke birthday me tumhe kya special chahiye hai?" Naina asked him in a soft voice and stroked his beard.

"Kuch bhi nahi...mujhe toh jo chahiye tha itne saal se woh ab finally mujhe milne wala hai," Sameer said with a deep smile and gently twisted her body to hug her from behind. He flattened his masculine hands on her waist, and his cheek pressed against her soft one.

"Kaun? Main?" Naina gently smiled.

"Haa tum, mere har acche karmon ka phal," Sameer replied to her in a husky voice and rubbed his nose on her cheek, inhaling sharply to bask in the scent of her perfumed talc.

"Ab batao bhi kya chahiye hai tumhe is baar?" She once more asked him the same question with more eagerness reflecting in her voice.

"Kaha na maine kuch bhi nahi." He said softly.

"Par kyun? Tumne mere birthday me itna kuch kiya...room decorate karwaya, mere liye itne cards likhe, favorite food order kiya, aur ab jab baari tumhari aayi toh keh rahe ho ki kuch nahi chahiye hain?" Naina complained, slightly twisting her head to look at his serene expression. Sameer lovingly rolled the caramel brown hair strand around his index finger and said pensively - "Woh sab maine apne mann se kiya tha Naina, aur jo kuch tum mere liye apne mann se karogi woh mujhe waise bhi pasand aa jayega. Main kuch bhi bol ke karwana nahi chahta kyuki jo khushi koi apne liye jab unexpected kare tab milti hai woh khushi kisi se kuch keh kar karane se nahi milti. Toh ab yeh tumpe depend karta hai ki tumhe mere liye kya special karna hai, mujhe toh agar tum kuch nahi karogi toh bhi chalega...kyuki tumhara meri life me hona hi kisi biggest blessing se kam nahi hai."
