Aspen and Bucky had been on their date for at least two hours. They kept laughing together, reminiscing, digging into the past, having deep conversations together. They didn't even realize two hours had gone by. Being together, talking, just each other's presence was so natural for them. It felt like home to them? As both of them had said before. They were each other's home. So two hours going by, felt like nothing. Until Bucky's phone went off.

Aspen went to the bathroom for a moment and when she did, Bucky got a text. He looked at his phone as the text he had received popped up on the screen. It was Steve. Aspen sat back down on the barstool that Bucky and her had ended up moving extremely close to his, as Bucky had finished reading the text. He looked up at her as she sat down, "Steve text and asked where we were." Bucky says. Almost dreadfully.

"Tell him you're with the bartender he keeps trying to set you up with." Aspen says distastefully and looks down. Bucky shakes his head and looks directly at Aspen. "No. I'm with you." Bucky says sternly. Aspen looks up at Bucky and blushes slightly. She loved that he didn't want to lie about being with her, he wasn't ashamed. But at the same time, she didn't want Steve to know just yet. She wasn't ready for the blow up.

"That's very sweet of you James. But we need to keep out cover. It's okay." Aspen says. She holds his hand in hers and he smiles down at her hand. He insists on not telling Steve he was with another women though. "No." He whispers and shakes his head. Looking directly in her eyes. "I'll tell him I went for a walk to clear my head and I don't know where you are." Bucky says, offering an alternative.

Aspen nods and she roses her hand from Bucky's, now running her finger tips from his thigh to his knee. "I will tell him that I was trying to drown my sorrows because he's a bully." Aspen says. Bucky chuckles and shakes his head at her. Her childish use of the word bully, and how adorable she was. "You're such a dork." He tells her. She bites her lip and tries to hide her smile as she playfully smacks his knee. "So are you."

Aspen had started to get tired. She liked being out with Bucky though. She didn't want to go home yet, to leave him. She had been thinking. She didn't want to go home and then fall asleep together and Steve catch them. It was the last thing they needed. Especially after the kiss. She had laid her head on Bucky's shoulder and he was holding her close to him, his arms wrapped around her tightly. He didn't want to leave either. He knew that when they left, they'd have to go back to reality and hide how they felt.

Bucky hated to ask the question but he knew Aspen was ready to go and was tired. He kissed the top of her head and she looked up at him smiling. "Are you ready to go home?" Bucky asks her. "You look tired." He wanted to specify, so she didn't think he wanted to get away from her. It was the last thing he wanted. 85 was the last thing she wanted to do too. She didn't want to be away from him.

"Yea." She sighs. "But as much as I want to," she starts, "I don't think we should spend the night together." Aspen says. She lays her head back on him, this time laying her head on his chest and drawing patterns on his chest with her fingers. "Oh..." Bucky says. "Why not?" He asks. He was looking forward to spending the night with her, getting to hold her all night, kiss her. He would be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little but disappointed. But her knew she had a good reason.

"I don't want Steve to catch us." Aspen says. Bucky nods. He figured it had something to do with not wanting Steve to catch them. "Okay." Bucky whispers. He runs his hands through Aspen's hair and they just sit there for a minute. Self doubt overcomes Aspen and she pulls away, looking up at Bucky. "You know if you need me though, I'll be there, just tell me." Aspen says.

Bucky smiles down at Aspen softly and he runs his metal fingers gently up and down her spine. With his other hand he grabs his beer and finishes it off. He thought his smile and his soothing touch would be enough to ease her mind, but it wasn't. She looked at him worriedly and with sad eyes. "Bucky are you mad at me?" She asks. Bucky looks at her like she's the most precious thing in the world, because to him, she was. And he holds her face in his hands, his thumbs stroking her cheeks.

"Of course not." He whispers to her. "I could never be mad at you." He says. Aspen nods and lays her head back down on Bucky, taking a deep breath. She looked absolutely exhausted. "Let me get you home, okay?" Bucky asked her. She looks up at him and nods. "Thank you for tonight Jamie. I had a really good time with you." Aspen tells him. Bucky couldn't help but smile at her. "A good enough time to let me take you out again?" Bucky asks her hopefully.

"Only if I get a goodnight kiss." Aspen says. Bucky smiles at her and Aspen bites her lip as she looks up at him. "Deal." Bucky says. "I was about to kiss you anyway." He says. And he does. He tucks a hair behind Aspen's ear and leans down, pressing his lips gently to hers. Then, he deepens the kiss. She stands up from the bar stool and stands between his legs as he pulls her closer. They wrap their arms around one another and continue to kiss until they can't breath. And then, they go home. And fall asleep, separately. Neither sleeping well without the other.
