A few weeks later Aspen and Bucky were pulled aside by Tony. He had been trying to convince them for the first thirty minutes to let him throw their engagement party. They had a million reasons why not. They didn't even really want an engagement party.

They had been to so many of Tony's parties. They didn't want to go to another one. And they certainly didn't want Tony planning it with a hundred or more people they don't know. An engagement party was supposed to be something with intimate with the people you love to celebrate and share the love you have with your significant other.

They didn't want it to be turned into just another party. As much as they loved Tony that's what they thought would happen if they let Tony plan the party.

"All I'm saying is, let me throw your engagement party." Tony said for about the fifth time in the past thirty minutes. Aspen wanted to let him but she didn't want him to make it about him, she felt bad that she thought that he would but he normally always did. He didn't give her any reason to believe he wouldn't do that this time.

"No." Aspen says. For the fifth time in the last thirty minutes. "Help me out here Barnes." Tony says looking over to Bucky. Bucky had kept quiet. He let Aspen handle it. If she needed his help she would ask for it and she didn't seem to she was standing her ground. And Bucky didn't really care what they did as long as Aspen was happy.

"Absolutely not. I'd like to I've to see my wedding day." Bucky says. There was no way he was siding with Tony if Aspen had already given her ruling. That was like asking for a death sentence. "Good answer babe." Aspen said flashing Bucky a smile and kissing his cheek. "Thanks I've been practicing." Bucky says with a cute little smile.

"Tony he doesn't even like your parties anyway." Aspen adds, telling Tony. "That was extremely hurtful." Tony says. "I'm sorry but it's not happening." Aspen tells him. "Give me one good reason why not." Tony tells Aspen. She didn't want to hurt her feelings but she did want to be honest with him.

"Because we don't want a bunch of people we don't know at our engagement party." Aspen told him. Tony looked at Bucky and gave him a look. A 'common help me out' or a 'give me somethin' look. "Metallica what's your take on this?" Tony asks Bucky.

Bucky shakes his head. "She's right. We want it to be just family and friends. The people we care about." Bucky tells Tony. Not only was he going to side with Aspen because he always did what she said but he also believed the same thing she did. That's why he always listened to her on almost every decision they made they had the same views.

"It's supposed to be an intimate gathering celebrating our love and the next chapter in our life with the people we love." Aspen says. Bucky holds aspens hand and squeezes it, leaning into her. He loved her more than anything. And she loved him more than anything.

"She has you whipped. You may as well be already married." Tony tells Bucky with an eye roll. Aspen rolls her eyes now. Bucky pulls her closer to him and she leans into him. "I do not have him whipped we just have the same values." Aspen tells Tony.

"Can I at least help with the organization and stuff?" Tony asks Aspen and Bucky. But he knew he Paul's be getting the answer from Aspen. "Fine, but if for whatever reason this party ends up tacky and I don't like it I know who to come after." Aspen tells him.

She can't believe she caved but she did love Tony and she did want to give him a chance to show her he could do it. "I think what she means is. Thank you for your help Tony. We'll handle the details and you can help with the coordination." Bucky tells tony with a laugh.

Aspen looks at Bucky and shakes her head. "No..." Aspen told Bucky. "I said what I meant." She tells him.
