Divorce

It had been a few weeks since the proposal. Bucky and Aspen were getting ready for the wedding and planning. There was a month left until the wedding. They wanted to be married as soon as possible. And they wanted a smaller and more intimate wedding, nothing extravagant, or flashy.

Everyone had a million questions about what the wedding would be like and to Natasha, Wanda, and Yelena, they all wanted to know who the maid of honor would be. But Aspen refused to pick one.

As for the best man, everyone knew that Bucky would pick Steve as the best man, he had already promised best man to Steve before he proposed to Aspen. And it was a no brainer. There's no explanation as to why Bucky would pick any one other than Steve. They had been best friends their entire lives, it was that simple.

The hadn't quiet figured it all out because Aspen wanted Steve to walk her down the aisle but they figured he could do that and then stand next to Bucky as his best man.

And they both decided there would be no bachelor or bachelorette parties. There were enough parties Tony threw that they were forced to go to, they didn't need any more, it was bad enough they had an engagement party to go to that Tony was throwing. But Aspen was trying her best to get out of that. She really hated parties, lately it seems like she hated them more than Bucky did.

Aspen, Wanda, Bucky, Natasha and Yelena were all sat at the bar together. Aspen only drank water and so did the others. They weren't there to drink they were just there to hang out and talk mostly. Aspen sat on Buckys lap, since the engagement they were more attached at the hip than before. They never wanted to leave each others sides.

"Aspen who's going to be your maid of honor?" Yelena asks. Aspen rolled her eyes and leaned into Bucky more, laying her head back on his shoulder. He kissed her temple and wrapped his arms tighter around her.

Wanda laughed and gave Aspen a knowing smirk. "Oh yea...." She started. "Which one of us is it?" Wanda asked. Nat smirks as well, Bucky shakes his head and holds Aspen tighter. She loved when he held her tight. "Oh yes." Natasha said. "Please tell us Aspen." Natasha says. Aspen shook her head.

She refused to. She looked at Bucky and her eyes went wide. "Help." She said. "Bucky help." She said again. Bucky laughed and shook his head at her, giving her cheek another kiss. "I can't help you doll I'm sorry." He tells her. He wouldn't help her because they were her friends and she needed to have that discussion with them.

"Divorce." Aspen said. Bucky immediately frowned and shook his head. "Don't do that." Bucky said. Aspen meant it as a joke but she felt bad, she knew one of buckys worst fears was losing her. And hers was losing him. She didn't mean to upset him. "Eternal love." Aspen says to bucky. She wrapped her arms around him and held on tight, leaning her head on his chest.

"That's better." Bucky said kissing the top of her head. Aspen turns back to Yelena natasha and Wanda. "I'm not having a maid of honor." She tells them. "You have to." Natasha says, wasting no time with her counter. "Yes you have to." Wanda adds. Aspen shakes her head. "It's our wedding I say no maid of honor." Aspen says.

Yelena starts laughing and aspens face twists in confusion. "That's funny." Yelena says as she continues to laugh. Aspen shakes her head again. "I'm not choosing between the three people I'm closest with it's not happening." She says.

Wanda shrugs. "We just wanna know." She says. "No." Aspen says. "It's gonna turn into a whole thing and ruin our wedding." She says. Now Bucky was going to step in. Aspen had said no several times but the three of them kept asking so he would speak up now.

"Aspens right." Bucky tells them. "We've been waiting for this since the day we met. Over 100 years." He tells them. Aspen looks at Bucky and her bottom lip pokes out. "Aww Jamie..." she pouts. "Nothings going to ruin this." He continues. "We're not taking any chances. Especially over some title." He finishes.

Aspens eyes grow bigger and her pout stays on her face. "Can I marry you right now?" She asks him. Bucky laughs and shakes his head at Aspen. "Didn't you want a divorce like two minutes ago?" Bucky asked her. Aspen shook her head and smiled leaning into Bucky giving him a kiss.
