*three weeks before the wedding*

Aspen had been rethinking the engagement party. She really didn't want one. And she really didn't think Bucky cared for one either. She knew she already told Tony he could help, but she changed her mind.

She would let him help with the dinner after the wedding. But an engagement party was unnecessary. It wasn't that she didn't want to celebrate her engagement to Bucky, but they got engaged at a party.

And she knew Bucky didn't care. He would beg her to leave the party and go back to the room an hour in anyway.

She'd been trying to talk to Bucky about it for the past thirty minutes but he was sitting on the bed playing with a tiger paw she had no idea where he got it from.

"I know you want an engagement party but I'm really tired of all these parties." Aspen says. She leans in and kisses Bucky trying to get his attention. He kisses back but still looks at the thing in his hands.

"They're all the same." Aspen continued. "We're having the party after our wedding can we just do that?" She asked. Bucky still said nothing. But he did look up at her.

"I'll make it up to you. And if you really want the engagement party we can do it." She said. Bucky looked down and smiled. "Come on babe. What're you thinking?" Aspen asks him.

Bucky snarls and holds up the claw brushing it up against aspens cheek. "Roar." He says. Aspen laughs and smiles, leaning in and kissing him. "Does that mean it's okay?" She asks and kisses him again.

Bucky keeps his growling face on and Aspen smiles against his mouth. "Yes." Bucky says. He kisses Aspen and Aspen kisses back. Then she goes to kiss him again and Bucky opens his mouth and smiles, teasing her.

"I love you Jamie." Aspen smiles against his lips. Bucky smiles back. "I love you more asp." Bucky tells her with a big smile. Aspen laughs. "Impossible." She tells him. He kisses her again and they smile. They were getting married.

*two days before the wedding*

Cool jelly was spread across aspens belly followed by an even cooler wand on her belly. Then there was a black and white image displayed on the screen next to the bed.

She didn't want to do this without Bucky. But she had to make sure before she told Bucky. She didn't want to get his hopes up and her not be pregnant.

"So it looks like you're about two months along." The doctor told her. She tried not to look at the screen. She really didn't want to look without Bucky.

"Two months? Are you sure?" Aspen asked, looking at the doctor. "Yep I'm sure." The doctor said. Aspen knew she was sure she was a doctor but the question still slipped out. But the doctor was polite about it.

"That means I've been pregnant since my engagement..." Aspen said allowed but it was really to herself. That's why she felt off at the party. "There's one more thing." The doctor says. What is it?" Aspen asks. Her heart dropped...

*later that night*

Aspen walked into hers and buckys room and buck was sitting in the chair in front of their desk. He turned to look at Aspen when she walked in and made granny hands for her.

She decided she was gonna wait to tell him until after the wedding. It was only a day away. Aspen leaned down and kissed Bucky. "Hi." She whispered.

Bucky smiled and kissed her again. "Hi baby." Bucky said. "I've been looking everywhere for you. Where were you?" He asked. Aspen pressed her forehead to his and smiled. His arms ran up and down her sides and he smiled against her.

She was so excited, she wanted to tell him now but she wanted it to be special. "It's a surprise." She tells him. "But not a surprise for right now." She adds.
