"Was someone in here with you? I heard..." he starts. They both knew exactly what he heard, but he didn't want to say it and neither did she. He heard her, moaning, and him being her brother, both of them were insanely uncomfortable right now. Aspen shakes her head and looks around the room. "Nobody was in here." She says. She makes eye contact with Steve and shrugs her shoulders. "Just me." She says.
He shakes his head and he continues to look around her room. Standing in the doorway, not moving. "Aspen there is no way...you..." he says. Both of them still feeling uncomfortable with the situation. He was insinuation, there was no way she was making that much noise all by herself. Clearly he didn't understand how...anything...worked. After all, he was also, still, a virgin. He'd kissed quiet a few women, but with the team, going into the ice, and having a stick up his ass about Aspen and Bucky, he had no time for anything else.
Aspen realized she needed to make something up. Something he would believe. She decided to make him more uncomfortable to make him stop asking questions. "Oh...that was me." Aspen says. She scratches the top of her head awkwardly, and her and Steve avoided eye contact for a moment. She could tell he was even more confused now than when he thought someone else was in the room with her.
"W-what?" He asks. He looked back at her with the most confused look on his face. She scratches the back of her neck and closes her eyes. Squeezing them shut right and trying not to laugh. She knew that Bucky was in the closet right now probably trying not to laugh his ass off. "I uhm..." she starts. "I was watching porn." She says. She moves her hands over her mouth and starts chewing her nails nervously.
Steve just looks at her in sheer shock. His mouth slightly open. His eyes wide. "I'm a 100 something year old virgin. I needed to blow off some steam." She says nonchalantly. As if telling her brother she was watching porn was no big deal. But she couldn't come up with anything else. It was the best and first excuse that came to her mind. Steve shakes his head, but still looks disgusted. "Yea okay...uhm..." he starts. But he doesn't finish his sentence.
The awkwardness in the room was astronomical and at that point neither of them knew what to say. Aspen just wanted him to leave, and she had already said something weird and gross, so she decided to keep it up to try and get him to leave. Because at that point, he really shouldn't even still be in the room. He probably should've just walked right past when he heard Aspen, but he wanted to know if it was Bucky making her make all that noise she had been making.
"yea uhm...so if you don't mind, Can I like...finish that?" Aspen asks him. Steve shakes his head and holds the doorknob, about to leave. "You're actually disgusting." He tells her. "Don't act like you havnt touched yourself Steve." Aspen tells him. He shakes his head and rolls his eyes at her. His only line of defense, always. "Goodbye Aspen." Steve tells her. She smiles and waves as he leaves. "Bye Stevie." She says. "Let the door hit you on the way you." She calls after him, the door already halfway closed.
Aspen waits a minute after the door had closed and walks over to lock the door. Once it's locked, Bucky walks out of the close laughing. He sits on the bed and pulls Aspen back onto his lap. "You told your brother you were watching-" he starts. "Don't. Don't even say it." Aspen says shaking her head. Her face turns red and she tries to hide it in Bucky's shoulder. He runs her back, knowing she's embarrassed, wanting to comfort her but at the same time, he wasn't done teasing her, so he did both.
She picked her head up out of Bucky's shoulder and looks at him. "That was my lowest point." She tells him. Bucky kisses her cheek and tucks a peace of hair behind her ear. He gives her a small smile and leans in kissing her nose. She bites her lip and looks at him, her cheeks still red. Both of them looked at each other for a minute and Bucky smirks at Aspen.
"So you said before Steve interrupted us..." Bucky starts. Referring to how Aspen was about to say she wanted to go all the way, but Steve ended up knocking on the door. She shakes her head and rolls her eyes at him. "No way." She tells him. She laughs a little and keeps shaking her head. Recalling her conversation with Steve. "Steve ruined the moment." she told him.
There was no way she could put that out of her mind in the moment. When her and Bucky finally did go all the way, she wanted her mind to be on him and only him. She wanted it to be special. She felt that it wouldn't be after they were about to but got interrupted and then if they were to just pick up where they left off. She wanted it to be an event of its own. She didn't want to think back on such a special moment like that and recall the event that had happens with Steve within five minutes of one another.
She stops smiling and looks down. After a moment she looks back up. "Should I have just told him?" She asks him. Bucky knew she would do this. Doubt herself. The choice she made. He shakes his head and holds her face in his hands, making sure she looks at him. He strokes her cheeks with his thumbs. "No." He tells her. "It wasn't the time. We will tell him baby, we just need to find the right time. That wasn't it." Bucky tells her. She nods and he leans in, kissing her forehead.
