My Top Priority

Sam smiles. Bucky hated that Sam was the one to respond to this. "Oh we got all the pictures." Sam says. Of course out of everyone he had to be the one to get a picture. "Doll, room please?" Bucky asks.

Aspen smiles and nods. She takes his hand in hers and squeezes it. "Okay okay let's go." She tells him. "Sam I want those pictures later." She adds as Bucky drags her away to their room.

Aspen and Bucky get back to their room and they get comfortable. Snugging close in their bed together. Bucky held Aspen tight as he looked down at her and smiled. He couldn't believe they were engaged now.

He couldn't believe that after all this time, everything they had gone through, the heartbreak, the drama, the near death experiences, that they were finally together, they were finally happy. They were content. He was finally going to get to marry Aspen. It was something he had wanted for so long but never thought would happen.

But he couldn't imagine spending his life any other way. Life without Aspen, to him, was no life at all. He had been in love with this girl since he met her and their dreams together were finally coming true.

Aspen felt the same. As she looked up into Bucky's eyes she imagined those raging ocean blue eyes on a baby boy, or several baby boys, she would even love if their baby girl or girls looked just like him. The eyes she wanted to stare into forever.

The eyes she wanted to look into every morning when they woke up and every night before they went to sleep, she looked into them and she saw their future. She never thought they would have one. With everything that had happened, but now they did, and she was so grateful but just as surprised that everything would work out for the two of them.

Bucky leaned into Aspen and he kissed her softly. Aspen pulled him closer and did the same. She smiled through their kiss, she was happy. He was happy. Everything was perfect.

After a little while of making out they pulled away and Bucky's eyes met aspens again, his arms still wrapped around her. "Are you feeling better?" Bucky asked her. Before the proposal she had wanted to go back to the room because she wasn't feeling well, she still didn't feel too good, but she had almost forgotten.

"No I still feel weird." Aspen told him. Bucky smiled and leaned down, kissing her cheek. "Well you look beautiful." Bucky tells her. Aspen scrunches her nose and shakes her head but continues to smile at him.

"How do you feel?" Aspen asks Bucky. He had a huge smile on his face, he had since the moment the music started playing. She just wanted to make sure it wasn't just a front. She knew better than to think if was, but she always had to make sure, he was her Bucky. She had to make sure he was happy.

And Bucky being Bucky he smirked and started to move to kiss down her stomach but Aspen pulled him back up, laughing. "Never mind I see you feel fine." Aspen laughed earning a chuckle from Bucky.

"We just got engaged." Bucky tells her. "Everything is perfect." He says. Aspen leans up and pulls his face to hers and kisses him. "How long have you been planning this?" She asks, referring to the engagement.

"Since the day I met you." Bucky told her, without hesitation. "No way." Aspen says. "Asp I have been in love with you since the first time I saw you." Bucky tells her. Aspen would think it was impossible but she felt the exact same way. She had loved him forever.

"But I didn't think you felt the same." Bucky went on. "And we promised Steve." He said. "And then hydra. I didn't want to put pressure on you." He tells her. "You had already been through so much." He says.

Aspen kisses Bucky again. He was so incredibly selfless. She wished he would think about the fact that he had gone through all of this too but he wasn't like that, he put everyone before himself, and Aspen, she put him before anyone.

"Baby we went through it together." Aspen told him. "You went through it all too." She says. "I know." Bucky tells her. "But I only care about you." Bucky tells her. "You're my top priority." He says. Aspen smiles and shakes her head. "And you're my top priority." Aspen tells him. "I love you so much." She tells him.

She told him quiet often but she still didn't feel like it was enough. Words couldn't describe how deeply in love with him she was and he felt the same. "I love you so much more doll." Bucky tells her.
