Aspen had decided to go see Natasha after he 'talk' with Steve. She needed a moment to calm down and talk her feelings out before going back to Bucky. She didn't want to put him in the middle of her arguments with Steve anymore than he already was. She hated that it was her fault there was so much tension between the two of them and she knew it was because of her. Especially more recently.
She walked into Natasha's room, her door already open, and she plopped down on her bed. "Well look what the cat coughed up." Natasha said when she saw Aspen. Aspen glared at her and sat up to looked at her making a serious face. "Bite me." She says. Natasha shrugs and smirks at Aspen. "Don't tempt me." She says. Both girls laugh and then Natasha decides to do a little digging on what happened after truth or dare.
"Now about that kiss..." Natasha starts, looking up at Aspen. Like she was slick. Aspen knew exactly what she was doing. But she was also dying to talk about it to someone. And it couldn't be Steve or Bucky. But she also didn't want to get ahead of herself. Aspen didn't say anything. She just stared back at Natasha. "Well that got me all hot and bothered. So I can't imagine how you felt." Natasha continues. "And Bucky..." she starts, fully grabbing Aspen's attention.
"Well he obviously liked it too." Natasha said. Aspen smiles to herself but she thinks about her previous conversation with Steve. How mad he was. She couldn't figure out why he was so mad. It cousins be over the promise and he should trust Aspen and Bucky enough to let them figure everything out themselves.
"But Steve was furious." Aspen states. She was tired of fighting with Steve. She missed her brother. But at the same time, when he started in on her, questioning her, yelling at her, getting angry over her littlest actions, she can't contain herself and she can't help but argue back with him. It was a brother, sister thing. Their sibling arguments. She didn't know what to do.
"Who cares?" Natasha asks Aspen. She thinks Steve will just get over it. It's his sister and his best friend. He should just want them to be happy. But he would obviously have to wrap his mind around the idea of them together. He would obviously want to protect them both and if anything we're to happen he'd have to chose sides, and he's chose his sisters. He didn't want it to come down to that.
Aspen understood all this. But he should have been past this angry stage by now. And she still cares about what he thought. But she couldn't get rid of the way she felt about Bucky. "I do." Aspen says. "He's my brother." She adds. Natasha looks at her sympathetically. She knew how Aspen was feeling.
She could see in her eyes how she just wanted to stop fighting. Aspen had fought for so long, both her and Bucky did. They deserved to take a breath and settle down finally. But they couldn't. Because they had Steve to worry about. They had to worry about what he was feeling and they had him mad at them, even if he didn't know they were actually together now. So it would be worse when he knew they were together.
"He'll come around." Natasha says. Aspen didn't believe her though. The way he had just talked to her, she didn't think he would ever be able to get over this if he found. And she just wanted to know why. Why was he so angry? Why did he care so much? Why couldn't he just accept it? Natasha sees that Aspen isn't convinced. "He's your brother." She adds.
Aspen shakes her head and decides to tell Natasha pretty much everything. "I talked to him earlier, and he was like "just don't sleep with him"." Aspen told Natasha. Natasha laughs and shakes her head. Aspen looks at Nat sort of confused as to why she was laughing. "I'm guessing it's too late for that." Natasha clarifies her amusement to Aspen.
"No actually." Aspen says laughing at Nat's assumption. "All we did was kiss." She said. "A lot." She added with a chuckle, she started blushing recalling the kisses with Bucky. She shakes it off and clears her throat. "But that's it." She says. "Did you guys talk?" Natasha asks Aspen. "What does this mean? Are you together?" She asks.
She wanted to know. Aspen hadn't been specific. She just said they kissed a lot and they didn't have sex. And she wanted to be supportive. It would be a lot easier for her to do that if she knew all the details. "No." Aspen says. "I don't know." she backtracks. "We told each other how we felt pretty much." She says. "I guess." Backtracking again.
"You guess?" Nat asks her for clarification. "Neither of us really knew how to explain it. But we came to an understanding." Aspen said. She still didn't know how to explain it and she still didn't know if they were together yet or what. But she wanted to know. But she also didn't want to rush things and scare him off.
"And that would be?" Natasha asks. She knows Aspen doesn't know the answer but she's helping her think about it and process her thoughts out loud. It helps her to process her emotions out loud that way she could come to terms with it. "I don't know." Aspen says. "We both like each other and kissing each other." She says. "So we're going to keep doing it." She adds.
"You need to put a label on it and hope Steve comes to terms with it." Natasha tells Aspen, stating the obvious. Aspen knew when she got back to Bucky they would talk again, but as for Steve, she had no idea how to go about talking to him, or breaking the news.
