"Lecture is dismissed for today."
I had been counting down every second, yes. It was quite unusual for someone like me, to fret about a school assignment, yet there I sat, not ignorant to the foreboding feeling starting to stir in the pit of my stomach.
"Jen?"
I looked at Mino, his light eyes glimmering. "Ready?" He asked, his tone excited. It baffled me as to how anyone could be remotely excited to stay in the same room as a killer, an insane one at that. I was quick to nod.
Yet, every bone inside my body screamed liar.
The only thing keeping me barely composed was the fact that Mino's patient too, had turned out to be in the psychiatric institution. Mino, taking notice of the nauseating look on my face, wrapped an arm around my shoulder, "Lighten up Jen, you're worrying too much."
He's right, I thought, frowning. It was merely absurd paranoia that was eating me up. I took a deep breath. If everyone can do this, so can I.
I need to. I looked at Mino right in the eye with newfound confidence. "Let's go."
