87 - Halloween Shopping
It was almost Halloween and you wanted to go shopping for some Halloween decorations, candy, and costume inspiration. Maybe you and your boyfriend Riker could do a couples costume this year if you found something good.
Riker picked you up and drove you both to the Halloween store.
"So what are we looking for exactly?" Riker asked.
"Decorations, candy, and costumes."
"Ok."
You take his hand and start leading him down one of the aisles. One of the skeleton decorations is triggered by your movement and jumps toward both of you.
"AH!" Riker shouts, jumping back.
You look at him weirdly.
"Really? You're scared by that?" You ask.
"I don't like jump scares," Riker whines.
"You like Halloween though."
"Yeah. But not the scary parts."
"Whatever."
You take his hand again and pull him down another aisle. Riker starts looking at some of the costumes. You see a fake spider, walk up behind Riker, and drop it on his head.
"AH! Don't do that!"
"Why are you so jumpy?"
"Because my siblings love to scare me during spooky season."
You both keep walking around the store and you see a Halloween tunnel.
"Riker, let's go in!"
"No, I'm going to get scared," he whines.
"Come on. You're no fun. Please?"
"Fine..."
You both walk into the tunnel. It's really dark with a bunch of Halloween decorations and props set up. As you walk down the tunnel, different decorations move and make noise. Riker keeps inching closer and closer to you until he literally crashes into your side.
"Riker, calm down."
"I don't like all the scary things!"
You keep walking down the tunnel, pulling Riker behind you. Just as you're about to exit the tunnel, one of the decorations moves and Riker screams. He runs straight out of the tunnel without you.
You walk out of the tunnel and join Riker again.
"I think I'm done Halloween shopping," Riker says, still obviously really tense.
"We didn't even buy anything yet!"
"Well we don't need to!"
"Riker, we have no candy for trick or treaters. We at least need some candy."
"Fine."
You both walk down some more aisles until you find all the candy. You grab a few bags.
"Can we go now?" Riker asks.
"You really don't want to buy any decorations or costumes? We could do a couples costume and be cute."
"Can't we just stay home and give out candy?"
"If we stay home, then we need to do something Halloween themed. Like watch a scary movie."
"No," he whines.
"Riker, it's Halloween. We have to do something fun."
"Fine. We can watch a scary movie, but it can't be too scary, and we can give out candy, ok?"
"Ok, deal."
"Now let's go pay for all this candy before another decoration jumps out at me. I'm tired of having mini heart attacks today."
