60 - Can't see.
You're meeting Riker at his house before you go out for a date. He just got back from tour, and you're both excited to see each other.
You knock on the door, and Rocky answers it.
"Hey. Riker's in his room."
He lets you in, and you go up to find him. His door is open, and he's searching for something. His room is a complete mess.
"Um... Riker?"
"You're here!"
He looks in your general direction, but you can tell he's not actually looking at your eyes.
"Uh... Riker?"
"What?"
"What's going on?"
"Um... Well I'm out of contacts, and we got back from tour yesterday, so I haven't ordered more. And I lost my glasses, so I can't see. And it's really hard to try to find them because I can't even see where I'm looking."
You start laughing at him.
"Hey! Not nice!" He whines, pouting.
"You're such a goof."
You start looking around his room for his glasses. And you don't find them, but you do find his old ones. He doesn't like them and never wears them because they're small wire frames, and he doesn't like how he looks in them.
"Well you could wear these for now," you say, handing them to Riker.
"No, I don't like them."
"Riker, you can't see. They're better than nothing."
He takes them from you, and looks at them.
"Don't look at me," he says, putting them on.
"Riker, you look fine."
"I look like a nerd!"
"No you don't! You look cute."
"Nuh uh. I don't believe you."
You sigh as Riker continues to look for his other glasses.
"Riker, really. You look fine."
"No, I don't. I'm not wearing these."
He takes them off, and puts them on his dresser.
"How are you going to find your other glasses now?"
"Please help me?"
"Riker, you look fine with the old ones."
"No, I don't! And I'm not going to stop looking until I find them."
He takes a step, and you both hear a crack.
"That's not good," Riker says, slowly stepping backwards.
"Well... Looks like you're going to have to wear the old ones because you just broke your other ones," you say, bending down to pick them up.
"No!"
You hand him the broken glasses.
"I can't believe it..."
You grab his old ones, and hand them to him. He looks up at you, not thrilled.
"Rik, you look fine with them. Really."
He sighs.
"Fine..."
He slowly puts them on.
"I know you don't like them, but at least you can see."
"True..."
He sighs again.
"Well... Ready to go out?" He asks.
"Yeah."
He takes you out to a nice restaurant. You're both happy to finally see each other again and catch up. And throughout the night, he forgets about his old glasses, and just enjoys your company.
