They pick up Allura from the centre of town after Lance's shift. Both just sitting in the car from where Lance's pulled up to the side and staring at all the bags Allura suddenly had around her. Neither understanding how she's been able to carry so many on her own for the whole day. 

Lance jumping out to giving a helping hand in putting them all into the boot while Katie hops out before jumping into the back. Leaving Allura to have the passenger seat again so she and Lance would be trapped in the front together. No real conversation sparked between the pair as Lance drove them back to the McClain household and Katie simply sent up a pray to any god willing to listen to help the guy gain a chance. 

Not much else happened after they got home. Allura placed her bags down in Lance's "home" while Lance wondered to the kitchen to help his mother with cooking and Katie was left to do some coding on her laptop on the sofa. Panfilo sat in his arm chair, reading Hornblower. A story Katie actually knew since she watched the films with her Dad. 

And that's how Lance found the pair of them, he went to warn them that food was almost done and he was about to set the table. Seeing if Katie wanted to escape any awkward silence by helping him only to find his Pops and his crush's best friend happily chattering away together over his pop's favourite storyline and series. He smiled, watching fondly and wondering if this was how partners felt whenever they saw their partner getting along with a parent and winning them over. 

Shaking his head with a gentle smile before heading to the table and settling up alone. Hearing his granny call down to the basement to let Allura know that food was ready and that sadly startled the two in the living room. Mirana bringing the food in and raising an eyebrow as she noticed how chipper her husband seemed to be all of a sudden. Panfilo only sharing a smile with Katie who giggled before taking the seat beside him like she did this morning. Leaving the last two spots on her side of the table for Lance and Allura again. 

Supper was mostly spent in one-sided conversations with the McClain women talking Allura's ear off over dating Lance and trying to poke their nose into future dreams the couple might be holding together. Katie trying to speak up and change the topic when it was clear how uncomfortable the fake couple were becoming and Panfilo would suddenly ask her questions over all her computer skills and job. Katie easily rambling along about that side of her life before the topic changed back to Allura or Allura and Lance's dating life due to Mirana and Ines taking control on the conversation again. 

Once everyone had eaten, Lance took both ladies back down to the basement to relax and take a break from his family. Allura being called up by Mirana an hour after they all headed down, seems the lady of the household wanted to spend some girly time with her hopefully future in law. Katie and Lance simply accepted Allura's fate and wished her the best of luck as they stayed hiding downstairs. 

Once it started getting late, Lance decided to add a few more tips on how to handle and deal with Lotor. Reminding Katie over the date set for tomorrow and making her realize she better put some effect into looking decent. Borrowing his bathroom in the basement to shower at least while Lance lazed on his bed, reading fanfic on his tablet. 

"Do you have a hamper?" Katie asked as she walked out in a pair of her own comfy pyjamas, a long towel draped over her shoulders like a cape as she left her hair to drip dry like always.
