Sticking Together - Plance. (Incomplete)

A/N: Most of you know I suffer from insomnia and sometimes come up with books/oneshots during those nights or long weeks of suffering from it. 

This is a oneshot I had started in a sleepless state and don't actual know over the planned storyplot for it. 

I mean, I know Lance was going to be Pidge's date after she fails to get someone she knows to go with her. As well avoiding having her mother chose a date for her instead. 

And the two mention their known feelings that neither were brave enough to speak over during the war. Both afraid they'd lose each other if they did allow themselves to love during the war. Fate was often cruel to all the paladins after all. 

And Lance admits he'd be staying at the Garrison after seeing his family. How he's accepted a job as a pilot at the Garrison as well as stepping in as a flying instructor part time in-between flight missions. Meaning... he'd never being leave Pidge.  

So.. the theme I think was them sticking together from start to finish.

They started one new life together as paladins and they'd start their new life after the war together. Always sticking together through everything. 

But I looked back at it and.. yeah, I don't actual know the game play for this oneshot.

It had under a thousand words and I don't want to delete since I've promised in the past to stop delete working, finished or unfinished. 

IF I ever remember or feel inspired, I'd come back for it. But that's most unlikely to happen.

"Why are we watching Pidgey threaten Keith?" Lance

"Pidge refuses to go to the Garrison's ball without someone acting like a date. Even if they go as just friends" Hunk

"Isn't Keith dating her brother?" Lance

"Matt's gone single enough times to not be bothered over going on his own again, apparently. And why Pidge would love to go with her brother, it's been banned from Colleen" Shiro 

"Why don't we all just go together. As one big team?" Lance

"I'm bringing Adam as my date. I've always mentioned it to others so.. if we change the plan, it'd seem like my relationship is rocky or a paladin wasn't able to gain themselves a date and needed a friendship code to happen. Adam has finally willing to give us a second chance, I can't risk doubting rumours over our relationship to start up. He'd assume I've said something and would leave me before he ends up getting hurt again. I've died, Lance, I've died enough times to deserve a second chance with the love of my life" Shiro 

"Why wouldn't Keith be her date?" Lance

"He's been growing the confidence to ask Matt to be his date. He wants to make it officially known he's dating Matt. He just.. hasn't asked Matt yet so Matt's gave his blessing for Keith to go as friends with his sister instead" Hunk

"Why is family dates not allowed?" Lance

"Colleen has decided that if her sister is capable over fighting an universal war and flight a war machine weaponized lion, she can handle socializing out of her comfort zone. Hopefully gain some new friends, meet future co-workers and give flirting a try. She sees this party as the perfect chance for her daughter to give it a go... as long as Pidge doesn't gain a date for it" Shiro 

"Sam is allowing it?" Lance

"Not at first. But Colleen mentioned that most of us would be returning home or travelling in space for a long period of time soon enough. The war is over and Voltron isn't needed. We'll all be moving to start our own lives and find ourselves during a state of peace in the universe. None of us will be around much, if we even do decide to visit the Garrison" Hunk

"I'll be in charge of the Atlas with Adam. Keith's going to be with the Blades, helping to rebuild planets. He plans to visit Matt as often as he can and stay in contact as often as possible. But they'd be long distance dating again like they were during the war. Before Keith will settle on earth once he's done with the blades but that will be at least two years" Shiro

"The Garrison has accepted for me to do my cooking school on the Atlas. If all goes well, I'll start up my own restaurant somewhere in a few years. I'll visit my family as often as I can but I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to the Garrison. We've had good times here but Sanda butyral and our capture shortly after keeps flashing back in my mind whenever I stand here. As well as seeing the city slowly rebuilding still, it's heart breaking. We hold so many memories sneaking out to that city and almost every place we went as cadets is gone now. Destroyed. I can't stay here for long anymore. So, I don't plan to return here again anytime soon" Hunk

"It's left Sam realizing that all the friends and second family Pidge has gained will be gone from her life again soon enough. We'll all phone and message but we won't be visiting in person for years for some of us. Her parents are worried she'd be left alone and stuck as a loner again. She was bullied during school and that forced her to keep to herself and not risk becoming friends with anyone in case they ditch her. Pidge has chose to stay at the Garrison, it's her own choice as we've all chosen our own new paths. But it means she'd be alone for the most part again. Her parents just want her to try getting along with someone so she has someone outside the Holt family. Maybe even try dating so she learns to open herself up to others again" Shiro 

"No one asked what I plan to do after we're formally released from our paladin duties.." Lance

"You've already mentioned how much you want to return to your family once the war is over. How you'll help on the farm for at least a year and catch up on family bonding. And afterwards, you'd decide what feels right in your life before you chose anything" Hunk

"Well, she hasn't asked everyone she knows to be her date. I know at least one person willing to go with her.." Lance
