Katie quietly waited below deck, trying to not seem stalker-ish or overly loud to make Shiro conscious as he dresses in his bed, door locked close to keep his privacy. Both having grown use to dressing and changing while living in a cramped space. Using Shiro's tiny bedroom to dress or change when needed, taking turns.
They would have themselves both dress at the same time, one below deck and one above. But if they're attacked by other bounty hunters, neither wanted to rush towards the cockpit barely dressed. More so for Shiro's sake when he's not meant to show his face before others. So, one person dresses and the other prepared to race towards the cockpit if needed.
Rover seemed happy to be wobbling around with his helmet on and wrench in hand. Pretending to be his own hero of his story and on his own little adventure under deck. Thankfully not knocking anything over or trying to break things. He'd send a few things floating or move them a few inches but not making too much trouble for them.
Katie watched for a few minutes before letting her eyes daze over as she grew lost in thought. They've had a handful of attacks by bounty hunters in the past three of weeks since she met the Mandalorian.
She knew Shiro had done more than needed in protecting Rover and fighting back against the bounty hunters. Knowing it was either us or them each and every time. He's given up his own work and Katie wasn't even able to pay him for his help, he deserved payment.
But she was busy with her growing concern over how many the empire were paying to hunt them down and steal Rover back. Katie knew she needed to try and stop Rover from being tracked. To remove his dna reading from the empires main system and stop anymore flobs from being made to track him.
But that meant she'd have to go an actual main base, one that still held plenty of power and fear over the people. She knew the empire were growing each day, they were already in control over all the galaxy.
Reaching a base was a death wish, even if she manged to sneak in and remove Rover's file for good. She'd never get back out again.
She knew what she had to do, she knew she could trust Shiro to take Rover to Keith for her and make sure Rover would be well taken care off. That he'd be given an home, he'd be loved and cherished instead of merely trained and used.
Giving up on finding her brother to save Rover was a huge decision but Katie already knew she had made the moment she couldn't hand Rover back over to the empire.
"Are you unwell?" Shiro questioned with concern clear in his voice, by the women's side and pass her personal bubble as he fears she'd grown unwell.
"Huh?" Katie breathed out, shaking away her thoughts and jumping a little as she wondered where he'd finished dressing. She normally heard the doors unlocking and swishing open.
"You've grown pale and you're trembling. Have you grown sickly this morning?" Shiro replied with worry, a hand on her lower back to help stable her as he feared she'd faith. Feeling her trembling and assuming she might be feverish.
"Oh.. No, I'm fine. Just lost in thought" Katie stuttered back in an panic, shaking her head and giving an embarrassed smile as she stepped away from him. Not believing she had gotten so lost in her thoughts and fears that she started to tremble physically.
