Keith was left sulking in his room after hearing he'd be left home for the afternoon tomorrow. He wasn't sure what Valentines Day was or why his brother would chose to spend the afternoon with an soldier. 

Keith wasn't hateful to the soldiers but his brother was a smuggler. Was. He gave that up. Keith knew his brother didn't give up that life style for himself, he didn't care over his brother's job. He assumed his brother was happy as an engineer for the military now, seemed happier. 

But so much was changing so quickly and Keith wasn't really sure why. His brother never cared to waste time on anyone who seemed to hold interest in him before. And yet, his brother was the one acting as if he as a dog in heat over some stranger. 

All Keith knew was that Adam Wright better be worth it and stick around, otherwise Keith would be dealing with the man personally for hurting his big brother. 

Valentines Day...

"Please tell me that you didn't waste ration cards on those flowers?" Adam asked with clear displeasure over the roses being held out towards him. Flowers were grown in the zones but a flower bouquet could cost a couple or more ration cards. Something that starving families couldn't afford to give up just for a romantic gesture.  

"Not a single penny. They were a gift from someone I helped but I did intend to buy them for you" Shiro replied in a reassuring tone, turning sheepish as he didn't want it to seem like he was being cheap since he did plan to get them for his newly gained lover. 

"Thank god. I don't want you wasting you're ration cards on me. Keith should come first" Adam breathed out relieved and accepted the flowers. He didn't want to risk the brothers being forced to skip a meal or two just so he could pretty flowers. 

"And he does. But I deserve a life, as well as you do. I want this to work, for both of us, Adam. I love you, I do" Shiro smiled back with an comforting tone as he looked to his lover, feeling happy over the man being concerned for Keith's health as much as he was. 

Adam just stared at his lover before giving a small shy smile as he took in his words and knowing that Shiro was truly smitten for him. That they were going to make things work and be a couple together. A happy loving pair of soulmates. 

"I got you something" Adam muttered, his cheeks rosy over the other man's honest and open confession of his feelings. 

Shiro just smiled like a love sick fool as he grew giggly over his lover getting him something on such an old forgotten special day. Knowing it was Adam's own way of showing his feelings for them since he was never one to be able to speak them so freely. 

"You can't go for a joy ride on it but it could at least travel around with you. If you ever leave again" Adam rambled back with a small frown as he pulled something from his bag, knowing he had to do it while he felt sappy and confident to be openly vulnerable to his lover.
