A/N:
This oneshot is Inspired by a comment made by seventeen-skies on one of my old oneshot books, Kidge oneshot. And I absolutely loved the comment. In fact, it still makes me chuckle over thinking about it. I couldn't help but want to write something like it.
I hope you don't mind and if you wish for me to delete this oneshot or remove your name so it isn't tagged, if the tag actual works for once, just let me know and It's done.

Katie was excited for her first day at the Garrison's class for under five's.
Her parents both worked at the Garrison and her brother was at the Garrison's primary school, working towards growing to be an cadet for the Garrison once he's old enough.
It left her looking forward to the day she grows to be an cadet, to be another Holt that makes Iverson give out that doomed and accepting his fate sign like every other Holt has given him.
Her Dad takes her to the Garrison plenty of times, just like her Mum did with Matt, her big brother when he was young and didn't have full time school. Neither of her parents dealt with babysitters or day care for them. They wanted to make sure their minds and growing personalities were encouraged without the added pressure over the world expecting great things from them just because they were born an Holt.
Her favourite part of going to work with her Dad was the aliens.
She already grew giggly around new technology being built in the labs or designed at desks. But her favourite part of her day was passing aliens in the hallways or greeting her parents alien workmates.
She adores aliens.
Matt always mentioned he was going to try and date an alien but she planned to marry one. More so when her mum made a rule up mentioning they couldn't marry robotics. They had to fall in love with someone with an body of flesh and an beating heart.
It sucked.
Ruined her marriage plans.
She did think about marrying her Dad, he was the best man in the whole universe but her Mum proudly reminded both her children that she had "dibs" their Dad and placed a ring on him.
Her mum kept ruining her marriage plans, big time and it wasn't fair.
But Katie understood she couldn't have her Dad as her husband.
He wasn't her soulmate.
Her dad and Mum weren't soulmates, they both wore different soulmarks, they've never lied over that.
