Baby Rover - Part 9 - Shidge.

A/N: This is the final part. 

I had a bit of an end change after all. 

I thought over them having to fight Sendak and Haxus who'd be on the empire's side. All of them winning the fight and gaining new prisoners for the rebellion to gain intel from. Earning Katie and Shiro to have a place with the rebellion. 

But I didn't want to drag this one-shot on too long. 

I also liked the idea that Pidge and Mandy would get married. 

While Katie and Takashi would secretly get married, Shiro losing the helmet just for her.

So, if anyone asked Pidge if she saw Shiro without his helmet, she'd say no since Pidge only knew mandalorian or "mandy" as she's called him. Not telling a single lie as Pidge has never seen the mandalorian without his armour. 

But Katie. She'd have seen her husband's face and seen him in comfy clothes chilling in their home in private. Would have their son, and future children, knowing their father's face while none ever telling a soul about it. 

But I didn't want to stray too far from Rover's story plot.

The spent the rest of the day catching up with Matt and getting to know him all over again or for the first time for Shiro and Rover. Both Katie and Shiro leaving Keith to care for Rover while they spoke to Matt in private. Both asking him questions and discussing over how he'd act as a mentor for Rover if they agreed to him being their son's teacher. 

Matthew mentioning over a small Rebellion camp he lives at. Only a handful of other rebels living there and how most have gained a life there between their rebel missions and duties. How even a few civilians linked to the rebels were living there. 

Matthew had offered for the pair to move there with Rover. To have Matt act as both a teacher and uncle to Rover why they lived close by. Being able to stay apart of Rover's daily life and for them all to safely settle down. 

There was even a place for the pair to join the rebellion. Keith had mentioned the pair's handy work in the past and knew the pair of them would be happily welcomed. They were both skilled and a throne in the empire's backside already. They weren't living much differently to the rebellion currently. 

It left both Shiro and Katie to think over it and talk about it later that night after they placed Rover to bed. Thinking over a future together and what they wanted to do in their lives now they had protected Rover as best as they could. 

Shiro finally speaking his true name towards her, letting her finally meet the man she'd spend the rest of her life with. 

And by morning, the pair had agreed to finally settle down. Do their part for the rebellion but still fight in their own way.

It left them spending the next year building themselves a home for themselves. Making it large enough for their current family and any future added members after marriage. 

Pidge and the Mandalorian still fighting back and trying to create a better future for their son.

Katie and Takashi finally allowing fate to let them just be happy and in love, to have a place and someone to belong too. 

Rover had barely stopped smiling as he welcomed his new life happily, completely thrilled over having his parent stay together and for him to gain two new uncles. 

Matthew being a good mentor and a better uncle to his nephew. 

Keith always being the favourite uncle to Rover.

Both men finally started dating under the Shirogane-Holt family's clear judgment over them both taking too long to kiss already. 

As well as gaining themselves a cloned child, both had looked into any labs where Rover might have been created in hopes to gain better answers for their nephew and well, they accidently created a clone between themselves. Both having caught themselves on an machine, blood taken from them and they ended up bringing home a healing pod with an baby growing inside. 

Shiro and Katie became amazing uncle and auntie towards their niece. 

Rover adored his baby cousin. 

Keith and Matt finally started to live together in their own home, raising their daughter in-between missions. 

But friendships were created and grown over the passing years. 

Lance McClain and Hunk Garret, both men apart of the rebellion and happily accepting Rover as an beloved nephew. Protecting him as much as the rest of the family would. 

And as the pair found their own soulmates and settled down, they would let their own children play with Rover and teach them to care for the slowly aging child. 

Takashi and Katie happily being married after they had their second child, the first related by blood to them. 

Adoring both their children and trying their best to help both children deal with the youngest growing older quicker then the oldest was. 

Keeping a happy family and making sure both children knew they were cherished and had somewhere to call home for as long as they lived. 

Pidge and Shiro had finally reached their end goal, protecting their son and they found love and peace along the way.
