Bounty Hunter Return - Kidge/Holt Family/Shatt.

Side Note: I don't know if many will remember the Bounty Hunter from the episode where Pidge searches for Matt and finds him. But I like the idea over him hunting them down, a second time, to gain revenge over losing their fight. Uncaring that Peace is given to all the universe, he just wants to win in a fight against them. 

Keith had never thought to ask for advice from his adopted brother over dating an Holt. Shiro had been good friends with Matthew while married to Adam. Sam had stood as Shiro's mentor during his own cadet years. It left Shiro holding a more friendly relationship to the Holt's long before he stepped into being an in law to them. 

Keith was glad his brother found happiness after Adam. He had always felt like Shiro and Matt had held something special between them when he use to watch them from a distance during his own cadet years. But he had just assumed that maybe they were platonic soulmates, perfect for each other but would always fail in love together. 

He'd been wrong, they ended up being perfect for each other in romance.

But Keith had no clue that Shiro had been dating Matt during the space war until they were all returned to Earth after Sendak's attack to their home planet. Matt having rushed to check on Shiro after checking up on his sister in the hospital first. 

The two were caught sharing a lovers kiss in the hospital hallway due to Shiro having been leaving with Krolia after visiting Keith during visiting hours. Katie, the love of Keith's life, had merely sat in her wheelchair and stared Shiro dead in the eyes as she threated him over cherishing her brother like the damn Queen he was. 

The Holt's seemed to favour Queens over Kings, always mentioning just how much stronger and more powerful a Queen was. Kings were assumed the best but it was wrong, History had always proven that Queens were the better. 

So, if you dated a Holt, never disrespect the Queen Holt you chose. 

And Keith found that he was doing a pretty good job over learning as he goes when it comes to dating Katie. To being with a Holt and having a decent relationship. As well as getting along with the other Holt's and keeping to their good sides. 

The Holt's were dangerous but they weren't overly protective like some movie family. They were very understanding and accepting. Never messing in anyone's love life as they knew everyone was different and did things differently or react differently. 

Katie was stubborn and hard to deal with, her own family admitted as much as they knew their daughter/sister love life wouldn't be some movie magic romance. Leaving Katie's love life to grow and bloom at it's own pace. Leaving the love to grow into it's own preferred shape and only wilt when it didn't have enough to survive with. 

But days like today let Keith realizing just how odd it was to date an Holt. He'd plan to marry into the family someday, he's talked to Katie over and they both agreed that maybe ten years into the future they'd share a joint last name. 

Kogane-Holt. 

They were happy to have both their last names as one. 

"I just hope Iverson's doesn't force us to help clean up this time" Shiro sighs from where they've stopped in the hallway, noticing the damages already caused by the Holt's and a Bounty Hunter that seemed to have met both Katie and Matt before. 

Keith merely shrugs, starting to walk away as he didn't want to risk the lunch they've just fetch going cold. He could at least get his girlfriend to be eating her own share and knew Shiro would encourage Matt to eat at the same time. 

Both Holt siblings were casually leaning their backs against one of the still standing walls within the Garrison's rank officers hallway. Both holding a mug in hands, Matt having a cup of tea and Katie having an hot chocolate, both looking very childish as they snickered into said mugs. 

The Bounty Hunter from years ago had came crashing into their Dad's officer, demanding a rematch and uncaring over peace within the universe being withheld. The war had finished three years ago and he had finally decided that the ex paladin and ex rebel had enough time to recover from any war related injuries to fight him fairly. 

Only problem was that today was lunch with the family, for the pure purpose over Colleen Holt watching her family eat. To know they've had at least one proper lunch in them so far in the week and forcing them all in the room, with her two future son in laws as well, to eat lunch as a family where they'd all book the time to be free for it. 

Meaning the Bounty Hunter may have came for both Katie and Matthew but ended up with an enraged Colleen over someone daring to bother meal time as a family and Sam Holt filled with rage over some stranger upsetting his wife and causing him to deal with her bad attitude for the rest of the week. 

Both siblings had cheerfully been keeping out of the way but close by to stay watching the mostly one-sided fight. Colleen and Sam had plenty of gadgets, brains and insults to use against the poor bounty hunter that was clearly losing this fight. 

The destroyed walls mostly been by the losing Bounty Hunter trying to get away from the Holt parents or keep distance between him and them. Neither Colleen and Sam letting him run far as they chase him down without mercy. 

Both siblings felt bad for the bounty hunter but they weren't dumb enough to step in when their parents were so displeased with the poor alien. It'd only leave them getting pulled in to the fight and lectured by their parents afterwards. 

"Eat" Keith simply orders as he squats down, placing the bag on the ground. 

"Ouch" Matthew winces back as he watches the Bounty Hunter take another beaten from his Dad

"You too. Otherwise your mother's wrath will be aimed at all four of us for leaving you to starve" Shiro sighs as he taps his boyfriend's leg from where he was squatted down with the second bag. 

"Ow. Yeah, I'm not dealing with any of .. that. Give me food" Katie replies as she turns to her boyfriend, having seen her mum do something inhuman to the Bounty hunter. 

All four moving to sit on the ground, rolling the paper bags closed to keep any dust and dirt out of the food left inside for the Holt parents after they finish their fight. Katie leaning against Keith's side, nibbling away at her portion as they both enjoy the live show happening before them. 

Matthew and Shiro sit more back to back, sharing body warmth but not wanting to risk dropping or spilling their food by getting lost in admiring how cute their boyfriend was when they filled their cheeks with food. 

And yeah, as Keith casually watched his future in laws fight some random Bounty Hunter from space, he realized just how odd his life became by dating Katie Holt. 

There would never be a survival guide or any advice able to be told to anyone for dating an Holt when you just have to live each day as it comes and hope you survive it. Any Holt would be on you before you realized you've even made a mistake, leaving you to not have to worry over your doomed fate since you'd never see it coming. 

And Keith didn't mind that unspoken threat, if he got to stay with Katie until he missteps unknowingly, he'd die happy. Forever loving her from within his grave.
