Shadam Thoughts:

I am and forever will be on Adam's team over  the devoice.

Because and hear me out please.

Adam argument with his husband was about Shiro's declining health juxtaposed by Shiro's need to overachieve.

Adam knew his husband had a few years at most to live his life with his family and Shiro chose to throw all those precious years, the chance to create lasting memories with his husband and little brother for ONE LAST trip to space.

Shiro chose space over the man he loves, over his family and expected his love ones to encourage and support him over that.

Adam wanted Shiro to be safe, to be able to life the last of his life. Shiro wanted to give up all those extra years for a single last mission. Adam didn't want to see Shiro die, didn't want to stand back and support Shiro into killing himself.

While Shiro felt he had to go into space one last time to just to feel alive. To be happy by staying as a pilot one last time.

So, why they both devoiced on unhappy terms, they never stopped loving each other. They didn't merely fall out of love or turned bitterly hateful. They just saw their final years together different.

Adam wanted Shiro to live a little bit longer, to stay loving his husband for as long as they could keep death away.

And Shiro needed to live by staying as a pilot, even if it meant only one more fly left in him.

Both wanted different things and walked away before they ended up hurting each other more.

It's also why I'm on Adam's team. He wasn't trying to stop Shiro from leaving out of selfishly but out of care and worry over losing the man he loves. Adam was trying to protect his husband and protect the Holt's if things went south for his husband condition.

I think it's also most likely why nothing was seen over Adam trying to snoop in the Garrison. He knew over his ex husband's illness, knew his troubles and knew this was his last mission. Assumed that something had gone wrong with lack of medical care for his ex husband or Shiro had decided he'd die among the stars instead of die to his medical condition.

It's not proven but it's a known fact that a lot of people .. have "accidental" deaths in certain job roles so they die doing something they love instead of by something else. Many overlook such deaths but I do think if someone goes down that path, it should be done without anyone else getting involved. But as it happens in real and why Shiro is a great man, I could also see him just wanting some control over the last moments of his life too.

And why we only saw Adam for like a five minutes maybe ten during the show, Adam was a HUGE part of Shiro's past. It's a known cannon fact that Adam was the ONLY ONE to call Shiro as "Takashi". Adam was the only one able to speak Shiro's real name and used it every single time. Why everyone else always stuck with using Takashi's nickname.

We kinda saw a more in-depth character develop over Shiro during those flashbacks with Adam involved. As well as Adam loving Shiro as he simply stood as mere Takashi. Why the rest of the Garrison  saw Shiro as a great hero and pilot. Only saw Shiro from what he achieved in life and what they expected from him in the future.

So, Adam was the first one to see Shiro as merely an another person and not caring over any hero worship others seemed to have.
