A/N: Ended up having an planet of the Apes weekend (When I had started writing this. Been an handful of weekends since) .Watching the originals and the remakes. And it kinda got me inspired to do an Au where the rise of the apes happen but with the Holt's mix in. 

Not sure how many parts I'd do or how well written it'd be. It's just an idea that's sparked and won't leave my mind. If I give up on the oneshot, I do apologize now. 

Heads Up: It's human x human. Monkey x Money. No mix species happening in this storyline. Just in case anyone got the wrong idea for this one. 

A/N2: It's taken me a full month to just write two and a half chapters. Wanted to be able to upload all three Prologue chapters at once but I haven't got the third one finish just yet sadly. Haven't had the time to finish the third part. But I hate having a couple of finished one's floating about after so much time has passed.

It all began the night that Sam Holt had gotten home hours later than normal without any pre-warning over work being busy or getting caught up in whatever results given that day. Sam was known to always be home by five in the evening, even heading to work early so he'd be home on time and spend real time with his family. 

But that night, it was close to midnight when Sam had slipped inside his home. Having to have used his own keys to unlock the front door and slip in. No huge welcome hug from his son waiting for him nor a greeting call from further within the home by is wife. 

Instead, Sam hurried to lock the front door behind him before racing upstairs. Waking his eight year old son before having him followed into his own shared bedroom with his wife. Waking his wife and prepared for her wrath over the ungodly hours of waking her, as well as worrying her with no text or call over being late home tonight. 

Sitting on the edge of the bed by his wife's waist, his son flopping over her legs and excitedly waiting to hear his father's news. Colleen sat up, worried and panicked over her husband waking them in the middle of the night to talk instead of waiting until morning. 

"Honey.." Sam says softly, meeting with his wife's worried gaze, taking notice as she flickered down to the wrapped blanket in his arms. 

"Did something happen?" Colleen quietly asked, fear in her eyes as she knew how dangerous his job could be. Prepared to grab their suitcases and start packing or hold her loves ones close if there's no escaping able. 

"I had a sudden feeling of baby fever and brought home our son with me tonight. A son we can't allow anyone to know over" Sam announced with an sad smile as he unwraps part of the blanket in his arms, showing an chimpanzee sleeping comfortable in his arms.
