Calli pov: I slowly opened my eyes snapping back into reality....

"Ayame-senpai, I have a question," I stated. She looked at me and tilted her head to one side.

"What is it?" She questioned

"How did you kill me? I'm an immortal being." I stared at her, awaiting her answer.

"You didn't die, Calli!" Bae says I glared at her and sighed.

"You wouldn't know I was dead," I told her.

Ayame-senpai looked at me and began to laugh, "That is right, I did kill you." She giggled. I glared at her, waiting for her to continue to speak, but she never did.

"How the fuck did you do that?" I asked

"Oh yeah, I just negated your immortality temporarily," she told me.

"How did you do that?" I questioned

"Well, you see, I transmuted my energy in a specific way. I'm sure you've seen someone use it before. If you're aware of the council, they can do it." Ayame-senpai explained

"Damn..." I said, pondering what she said. "Wait, Mumei could have killed us." I said I was finally grasping what Omegaα could do.

"You fought someone in council?" Ayame-senpai asked

"Yes, well, a goddess controlled her body and almost killed us," I said, "we couldn't win." I continued to say.

"Well, you must have been lucky; she spared you for some reason." Ayame-senpai said

I thought about it and realized that if Kiara wasn't there, fate may have been different and we were really going to die. That thought really made my heart sink.

"Yeah, I was lucky," I said.

"When is the last time you almost died? You seemed pretty unfazed." Ayame-senpai said

"Well, Kiara's little sister almost killed me; that's the girl from council that got possessed, by the way," I said.

"Interesting; I'm shocked you haven't realized you were in so much danger." Ayame-senpai laughed

"Hey, I've never heard of an ability like that," Bae said.

"Really?" Ayame-senpai asked, "Are you actually the leader of the council?" She questioned

"Yeah, I am..." Bae said

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "She is, but she isn't that strong." I commented

"I noticed that out of the six of you that dropped here, Bae is the weakest," Ayame-senpai said.

"Hey, that's not true!" Bae screeched

"You really are pathetic sometimes." Irys sighed

"Are you really being mean to me?" Bae somberly stated

"Look, I'm in so much pain right now, I may die; all my wounds are opened up." Irys groaned

"I'm so sorry!" Bae said

Towa-senpai stood up and went to tend to Irys, and her wounds opened up once again. "Sit down, damn it!" Kanata-senpai hissed

"You two are so fucking stubborn..." Coco-senpai sighed

"We just have a lot of stuff to do, and I want to get stronger as well. " Irys said

"I see, then maybe you can get stronger, but I can't let you kill yourself by moving around this much. Your injuries are too severe for this." Ayame-senpai said

Irys bit her lip and began to cry, "I need to be stronger for Bae's sake!" She said

"You will be able to become stronger; you just need to know how it feels to die." Ayame-senpai said

"What does that mean?" Bae asked in fear.

"I know what that means; please fight me, Calli!" Irys yelled

I looked at her in shock. This was insane. She was in no condition to fight me. She was going to die if she moved anymore with those injuries. Besides, any more damage would seriously hurt her. She could die even from a tiny tap.

"If I need to know what death feels like, then I need to fight death herself!" Irys coughed

"Don't be ridiculous, you moron!" I growled

"Grab your scythe and let's fight." Irys groaned

"Wait, you shouldn't fight nor go outside, so just sit and stop moving," I said.

"Calli, you seem different," Irys said.

"Yes, I came to terms with how I feel about myself and Kiara; I have reached a perfect state; I don't hate myself anymore," I said.

I still had a tiny bit of doubt, but there really wasn't much inside of me. I needed to keep looking forward. I won't look back ever again.

"Irys, I will fight you, but I promise that I won't hurt you too much," I said.

"Calli, I'm shocked. I expected you to have to go back into the mental plain again and fight the cognitive Calli again." Ayame-senpai laughed

"Do you really have that little faith in me?" I mumbled

"Well, you are kind of weak." Ayame-senpai laughed

"What is wrong with you?" I asked her

"I'm just a silly oni; I like to laugh and to make my friends laugh," she said.

"Whatever, let's just go outside," I said.

"No, you will fight in here." Kanata-senpai said

I was about to ask where, but then they began to clear out the kitchen for the two of us. There was a decent amount of space to fight, so this could work, but I didn't want to break anything.

"Don't worry, the material the room is made of is unbreakable." Kanata-senpai said

"Well, I'll be the judge of that," I said.

Irys pulled out her twin blades, and her arms looked weak. "Maybe we shouldn't do this," I said.

"No, please, fight me," she wheezed.

I nodded and spun around my scythe. We really have to do this, but I didn't want to pity her, although I didn't want to seriously hurt or kill her. But I knew I had to fight at 100%, or she'd be mad at me forever.

"Alright, don't be mad at me for any more injuries you get," I said.

"Don't pity me." She said

She tried to run at me, but she fell to the ground and began to bleed out. Everyone ran up to her and went to see if she was okay.
