Fauna pov: Azure-papa got out the old picture book and sat on the couch across from us, placing the book onto the table and facing it towards us. Slowly, he gestured at the book a tiny bit, and the three of us reached for it, both Kronii and I giving Mumei a short glance, making her withdrawal.
Kronii and I put our hands on the book at the same time before flipping it open.
"What is this picture?" I questioned
I saw Mumei holding some sort of animal; however, I don't remember making an animal that looks like the one she had.
Azure-Papa looked at the picture and smiled, "That's Mumei's pet animal." He explained
"Animal, what type of animal?" Kronii asked
"She's an animal," Mumei said.
She whistled, and the creature came running in and immediately barked before leaping onto Mumei's lap.
What the hell is that thing? I wondered if it looked like a weird amalgamation of creatures; this had to be some weird mistake I made at some point because I'm questioning this.
"Who's a good girl?" Mumei asked as she rubbed Animal's stomach.
"You seem really close to Animal," Kronii said.
"Yeah, I've had her for as long as I can remember; apparently, my papa got her for me as a present to keep me company!" Mumei explained
I was still dumbfounded about what Animal is, but all I care about is whether Mumei likes her.
"Mumei has always been fond of animals; she likes nature quite a lot despite being allergic to some things," Azure-Papa stated.
I glared at Kronii and began to secretly mock her and boast that Momei likes nature a lot. Kronii growled at me silently before turning the page of the book.
"Mumei, is that a plague doctor outfit?" Kronii asked
"Oh yeah, I loved that outfit!" Mumei said happily.
"Mumei used to wear that while doing certain activities." -papa said
I flipped the page again, seeing the first baby picture and wondering, "What's going on?" Kronii asked
"That's the first time I summoned a friend!" Mumei cheerfully stated
"Urk...friend?" Kronii questioned
"Not that idiot other friends!" Mumei giggled
"What Mumei calls friends, we call demons," Azure -papa said
"Okay, that's rude!" Kronii stated
"Flip the page." Azure-Papa told us
We flipped the page, and we instantly saw demon creatures. He was right. Mumei is in contact with demons-not that I mind Kronii, on the other hand, was hoping she wouldn't summon more of her friends.
"We should summon more friends after this!" Mumei cheerfully said
Kronii's face went pale as she forgot Mumei could read her mind; an ability like that was very handy, especially for someone like Mumei.
"I'll pass!" Kronii responded
"Nonsense, it'll be a good bonding experience!" I told her
Kronii bit her lip. She looked as if she wanted to slap me; it's just too bad that I'm the best slapper here so she wouldn't be able to hurt me with a puny slap.
Mumei seemed to be laughing. I glared at her; I could have sworn I saw her face flash. briefly into something else
"Mumei, are you part demon?" I asked
"Nope, I'm just a silly barn owl!" Mumei told us
Technically, that was a lie since Mumei is a vessel, and we all know that, but we all just overlooked that she said that she's so cute and is pretty much her own person.
I actually want to summon friends with Mumei now; that would make me really happy.
I want to do so much with her. Maybe we can coax Kronii into doing some things with us in bed tonight other than summoning friends.
"So Mumei, are you getting me grandkids?" Azure -Papa asked
Mumei looked around at the two of us, flustered.
"Uhm...maybe!" Mumei shouted
Azure -Papa laughed "You don't have to." He told us
I giggled; he seemed to like teasing Mumei a lot. I was happy because she seemed happy to see her father again.
Wait, he's my father as well...
That thought suddenly came back into my mind for some reason, and it made me happy. The thought that I'm married to Mumei made my heart race.
Kronii seemed to realize the same thing I did as she looked at me with a shocked expression.
I giggled to myself. Those two are so cute, I thought to myself.
"Do you have wedding photos?" Azure -Papa asked
"Oh yeah, give me a minute!" Mumei said
Kronii and I looked at her in confusion, but she opened a wormhole and pulled a picture book out.
"See!" Mumei said as she opened it.
"Oh wow, those dresses are cute!" Azure -Papa said
"I wanted Kronii to wear a suit." Mumei pouted
"Are you still on that we're all women?" Kronii said
"It's a fetish." Mumei stopped herself from talking, so she didn't say something odd.
"What Mumei!?" Kronii said
Mumei didn't reply; she didn't want to say what she was going to say; she was censoring herself.
"Maybe next time I can wear a suit," Kronii said.
"Next time?" Mumei and I said
"You can divorce me!" Kronii said
"I'll pass," Mumei said.
"You seem close; I'm happy that you can take care of Mumei!" Azure -Papa said
I wanted to tell him that it was no problem, but Kronii beat me to it.
"You two are so sweet," said Azure. -Papa said
I grabbed onto Mumei's hand and looked into her eyes.
"I'll protect you," I mouthed to her.
"Awww, Fauna, you'll protect me. I bet you'll do that better than Kronii," Mumei said.
Kronii clasped her hand on mine and glared into her eyes with fury.
"I'll protect you more than Fauna!" Kronii hissed
"No, I'll protect him. You can just look in your mirror and kiss yourself!" I yelled
Azure-Papa began to laugh when he saw how much Mumei had her finger wrapped around us, but we were all happy to have this relationship
