Mumei pov: I was about to go on my adventure with Fauna and Kronii, but Selen stopped me.
"Tell me how do I ask Pomu out... " Selen said
"Why?" I asked.
"Because we are friends." Selen sighed
I tilted my head to the side, questioning that statement.
"Are we, though?" I asked
"Yes," Selen said.
"I'm joking, I know we're friends, give me a second," I told her.
I sent Fauna and Kronii away to focus on each other for a moment, and I went somewhere private with Selen.
"It's been a while since I've seen you with your hood up," she laughed.
"To be honest, I forgot I could use it," I told her as I put it down.
"If I had a nickel for every time you forgot something, I'd be rich." Selen commented
"Fuck off," I told her.
"You've been swearing a lot lately." Selen noticed
"Yeah, I'm just mooming, it's fine," I told her.
"Oh?" She stated
"Yeah, don't mind me," I stated.
"Can you help me?" She asked
"Yeah, but first tell me what you like about Pomu," I said.
"Uhhhhhhhh...." She was indecisive.
"Come on, you must love something about her," Selen said.
"Honestly no. She's a shitty brat." Selen sighed.
I looked at her and sighed. This is going to be difficult if she can't even admit why she loves Pomu.
"Do you like blondes?" I asked
"Ehhh?" She didn't know.
"Faries?" I asked.
"I don't know," she said.
"Morons?" I asked.
"Well, I do think Pomu's stupidity is cute," Selen said.
I glared at her. "Oh, you like airheads?" I said
"Yes, well, no, maybe," she told me.
"Okay, well, I think you are ready to confess," I said.
"There is one problem, though." She groaned
"What?" I asked.
"My sister," Selen replied.
I pulled out my knife and slid it against my finger. "I'll get her out of the way," I said.
"Don't hurt her!" Selen shouted
"I wasn't going to," I responded.
I went over to a nearby tree and carved an X there. Selen questioned what I was doing.
"There is so much we need to do," I sighed.
"How are you going to separate us?" Selen asked
"We need to get Elira to come to this tree," I said.
Selen didn't seem to understand it until I began to make a simple pitfall.
"She can fly!" Selen yelled
"Yup," I said.
She didn't know that this was a trap made specifically for someone that can fly; the hole is too narrow to fly out of, so she'll be stuck until the confession.
Or she'll break out in a fit of rage and come after us all, but who's saying the second option would happen?
Last I remember, Elira is a mellow woman. She wouldn't just break out in a fit of rage, right?
I'm worrying too much about that. I think we'll be fine. All we need to do is trap her in the pitfall, and everything will work.
"Okay, I'm in," Selen said.
I walked over to Selen and hugged her.
"What!?" She said with confusion.
"It's been awhile," I giggled.
She was put at ease, and I used that moment of lowered guard to punch her in the stomach.
"Ugh..." she coughed.
I smirked at her and told her, "My hand slipped."
"You suck..." She wheezed
"Do I?" I asked.
Selen walked up to me and punched me with her dragon hand.
"My hand slipped as well," she scoffed.
"I will kill you!" I told her
"You can't be mad, you punched me first." Selen yelled
That was true. I did hurt her first, but it doesn't matter at all; she punched me, and that's all that matters.
"Okay, if this is settled, let's go out and get Elira to come here," I said.
"How will we lead her here though?" Selen asked
"You'll have to lead her so she doesn't think she has to leave you and Pomu alone," I said.
She nodded. She knew she needed to figure out how to lead her sister here; she doesn't seem to know what could bait her into following her. Maybe she could say someone is here to see her.
"Maybe I'll challenge her to a fight," Selen said.
"Maybe, but do you think she's a fighter?" I questioned
She shook her head and groaned.
"Not really," was the reply.
I don't really know how Elira isn't a fighter; she's a dragon. She should have some battle sense, but that's fine.
"Selen, how about you practice confessing with me?" I said.
"Sure," she sighed.
We sat on the ground and just faced one another in silence. She had no idea what to say to me.
"Selen flirt," I said to her.
"You are cute." Selen stuttered
"That was hard to say, moron...." I growled
"It's not my fault you are a cute barn owl, you piece of shit!" Selen yelled
"Ah!" We both shouted as we processed her words.
She can flirt, but if she is insulting you, this isn't good. Pomu may not want to be insulted in the confession.
Maybe she'll take it, but will she really accept the confession or will she insult back? Both of them are kusogaki, so I have no idea if it'll work.
"Selen, if you don't confess properly, I'll kick your ass!" I said
"Tsk, as if you could," she said.
We both laughed at one another and at how we think we can beat one another; we really are just too good for each other.
"I'm glad you never found a new rival." Selen giggled
"Well everyone else kind of stinks so..." I was about to say something else, but I suddenly heard the thoughts of Zeta and Axel.
Axel was running this way, and Zeta was trying to stop him. We definitely need a leash for him.
"Selen, someone is coming." I told her to prepare her
I put my hood up once again and got ready to subdue the dog with Zeta.
