Mel pov: What would Choco-sensei do in this situation? Would she shatter the mirror despite knowing that this was our only escape? I don't know. I ran away with the mirror, and all of the reflections seemed to vanish, but Haachama and Kurokami didn't.
"Where the hell did the mirror go?" Kurokami asked
"It's moving how?" Haachama said
For some reason they can't see me, which is good for me, but they can still attack me in the mirror and hit me.
"Mel run!" Aki yelled
"Mel where!?" Haachama yelled
"Aki!" I've hissed since she gave me away.
"Come on, you can't beat us, so hand the mirror over, vampire!" Kurokami said
"No, I don't think I will!" I yelled
"When we find you, we're going to tear you apart unless you show yourself now!" Kurokami screamed
I continued to run away. "Ha, she's a vampire, so that's why you can't see her in this realm!" Matsuri laughed
"That doesn't make sense; why can we see her then?" Fubuki asked
That was a fair point; it is only those two that can't see me; the other four can see me, but why only them? Why not Kurokami or Haachama?
"Come out, or the cheerleader gets it!" Kurokami threatened
That won't work because I can't be seen, but I don't want anything to happen to Matsuri, so what do I do?
"Aki, can you burn my body a bit?" I asked
"I can, but why?" She asked
"Just do it!" I said
I let her burn my face a tiny bit to make myself visible temporarily, but my face healed too fast, but that was enough for them. Haachama and Kurokami lunged at me, prepared to take me out.
I ran away as fast as I could, which was faster than them, but I'd be leaving the other four behind and I wouldn't be able to escape by myself anyway, so I turned around and ran back. All I have to do is get past the fox and the horror.
My objective is literally not to get hit by those two or let them get the mirror from me. I raced past them and made it back to the group with a decent lead.
"Let's leave!" I said
"Sorry, but no..." I Haato said
"Why not?" I asked.
"Kurokami and Haachama will leave if we do," Fubuki said.
"They haven't before, so why do you think they will now?" I asked
"Just a hunch," Fubuki said.
Honestly, I can't let everything ride on a hunch. I seriously am not about to let it be trapped in here over a damn hunch.
"Please be sensible!" Matsuri yelled
Those two didn't want to be sensible; they were being selfish, but again, they are worried. I don't blame them.
"At least let Aki and Matsuri leave with you," Fubuki offered.
"No, we fight together!" I declared
Fubuki and Haato seemed shocked but happy at my declaration since we are friends and we need to fight and watch one another.
Matsuri is still afraid and to he honest that's fine we aren't really supposed to be here and they seem really strong
"Matsuri you can back out now!" I told her
She shook her head "it's fine" she replied with some misplaced resolve
I don't know where she got it from but for some reason she is hyped up all of a sudden I can't be mad at her though this new found confidence is good for her
"Aki you want to back out?" I asked
"No" She replied
The two caught up to us and looked at us in shock "You didn't leave?" Kurokami questioned
"We need to face you" Fubuki said
"Look to be honest we don't want to bother you" Kurokami said
"Well what do you want?" Matsuri asked
"We don't have a Matsuri, Aki, or Mel" Haachama said
"So you want us to stay here so you can have one?" Aki said
Those two nodded.
"Well, what about Mukirose?" I asked
As I said, Mukirose appeared next to them. "Now we don't have a Mel or Matsuri," they said.
I have no idea what to do with me because how can a vampire have self-reflection if they don't have a reflection?
"Wait..." I said.
Everyone looked at me, confused by my realization. I thought about a version of me that was human, and it appeared because my heart willed it to be. It wasn't a reflection of my persay; it was my heart. They are seeing the me my heart made for them.
"Okay, Matsuri, you have to show a reflection now!" I said
Matsuri tried, but nothing came out.
"Why isn't it working?" She asked
"Wait, did Matsuri have a reflection?" I asked
"Yeah, she did have a mirror version of herself earlier," Aki said.
"If we can't get our own matsuri, we'll just take yours," Haachama said.
"Wait what!?" I said
Mikirose walked over and picked Matsuri up, beginning to carry her away. "Help!" She yelled
We all attacked Mikirose, who just stood there and swatted us away. We forgot how buff Mikirose is.
"Come on, we'll get you a matsuri; you don't have to take ours; you don't want ours!" Fubuki said
"On the contrary, White, we do want this matsuri, even if it isn't a reflection. It's fine. We only briefly get to see a matsuri, so it'd be a nice change of pace." Kurokami said
We couldn't argue with that, but at the same time, this was ridiculous. Why do they want Matsuri so much? We don't even want her that much, but she's our friend, so we aren't letting her be stuck here forever.
"Wait, let's compromise!" I said
"Howso?" Kurokami asked
"We let you live within Haato and Fubuki!" I said
"We already do..." Haachama said.
"Yes, but listen, we will let you do more things than that!" I said
"Fine," they said.
They weren't happy about it, but at least Matsuri is fine.
