Kronii pov: As all of us kept walking, I looked over to Fauna, who was holding Mumei's right hand. She looked at me and smiled, but for some reason, her smile gave me an eerie vibe.
"Mumei, your hand is a bit cold," I told her.
"Thank you for warming them up," she said.
"You're welcome!" I happily said
I gazed at Fauna again, and I saw her mouth something to me. Three words I read from her lips: "I'll kill you." I shivered
There is no way she is going to kill me, right? She loves me just as much as Mumei, and again, she may be a double-crosser.
Fauna grabbed the pocket knife Mumei was carrying instead of her dagger and began to play with it, glaring at me while she played with it. Her gaze was still ominous for no reason. She giggled slightly, but that gave me more chills.
"How are you three holding up?" Azure -Papa asked
"G-great!" I told him
"Really good, especially because Kronii and Mumei are here," Fauna said.
She put emphasis on my name. She is really going to kill me. She is beautiful. I wouldn't mind being sliced up by her, but at the same time, I don't want to be killed.
"I'm doing great, papa. I'm happy. I have two beautiful wives and a cat best friend," Mumei said.
"Who is your best friend?" Azure -Papa asked
"Oh, a girl named Vestia Zeta. I am mentally talking to her now that she's with my rival Selen," Mumei said.
"I hope I get to meet them," says Azure. -Papa said
"Maybe in twenty minutes," Mumei said.
"Oh, did you contact them?" Azure -Papa asked
"Yeah, I did," Mumei said.
All of a sudden I saw the knife Fauna was playing with fly past my face. "The fuck!" I said loudly:
"Sorry Kronii!" Fauna said
This sealed it. She is trying to kill me.
"Fauna, you should probably go over there to see how Kobo is doing," I said.
"And Clara?" She asked
"Y-yeah!" I said while shaking.
"Sure," she said.
She let go of Mumei's hand and walked over to Irys. I watched her the whole time. She seemed to yell at Irys for something and slap her wrist before coming back.
"They're fine, besides being taught words by Irys," Fauna said.
"What words?" Mumei asked
"I don't swear," Fauna said.
"Just whisper it in my ear, and I'll relay it to my sister," Mumei said.
Fauna nodded and whispered the words into Mumei's ears. Her eyes widened in shock.
"Hey, I'm going over there while I call her so my papa doesn't hear me use such language," Mumei said.
She walked away, leaving the two of us alone. "Hey Fauna!" I nervously said
"You good, Kronii?" I was asked
"Gwak!!" I cried, "Of course I am!" I said nervously:
Fauna seemed weirded out by me, which kind of made me weirded out more. How am I the odd one out in this scenario?
Fauna backtracked to pick up the knife she almost lost, and she came back towards me.
"Gwaaaaaaaaaaaak!" I screeched
"Huh?" Fauna said with confusion:
"Get away from me!" I yelled
Fauna tilted her head to the side and glared at me. "What is wrong with you?" She asked
"With me!?" Kronii yelled
"Yes, with you, first you look at me oddly after I mouthed I love you to you, then you scream when I come close," Fauna said.
She is only saying that to make me lower my guard; if I let her close, she will shank me, and then I'll bleed out.
"What are you thinking about?" Fauna asked
"About how you are going to murder me!" I yelled
"What!?" Fauna yelled
She began to dash towards me, and I ran backwards away from her.
"I'm not going to hurt you!" Fauna yelled
"You are going to stab me with Mumei's knife!" I yelled
"Kronii, if I wanted to do that, you'd already be bleeding out!" Fauna said
I didn't trust her at all.
"Mumei, Mumei, Mumei, help!" I shouted
She glared at me, and her eyes told me not to bother her right now.
Fauna got closer and closer, and I needed to get further and further away from her.
"Zeta is coming in two minutes, actually!" Mumei yelled out.
"Cool!" Azure-Papa said He ran up and held me in place. "Calm down," he told me.
"Noooooooooo!" I shrieked
Fauna finally reached me, and she patted my shoulder gently. I looked at her in confusion.
"Why didn't you end me?" I asked
She glared at me as if I were stupid, which irritated me. "I love you..." Fauna said
"Well, I love you as well, so why are you trying to kill me?" I yelled
"Okay, what makes you think I'm trying to murder you?" Fauna asked
"You tried to stab me with Mumei's knife!" I said
"No, I didn't..." Fauna said
I didn't know how to respond to that. Did she really tell me that she wasn't trying to actively stab me? I saw her trying to figure out what the heck her plan is. In the long run, she is trying to make me think she loves me so she can stab me a bunch of times and then leave me for dead.
She seemed confused by my words; she didn't know what to tell me to convince me she wasn't going to kill me.
We continued our game of cat and mouse as the rest of us continued walking. Mumei kept talking to either Kiara or Zeta, and she wasn't paying attention. Maybe when she comes back, she can save me from Fauna.
"Come on, Kronii, I'm not dangerous!" Fauna cried
"Stay a safe distance away!" I told her
She rolled her eyes. "Fine," she responded.
I gulped and bit my lip. She seemed mad at me now. I don't know why, but hearing that voice made my heart hurt.
