Stranded In Time

Amelia pov: I slowly opened my eyes, instantly feeling a throbbing pain in my head as if someone had repeatedly stabbed it. I lifted my hand and clutched my head for a few seconds, and I took in my surroundings. "This isn't the forest." I groaned as I tried to stand, but I was stopped by another pain in my leg, as if it were torn to shreds. Blood was all around me.

"Amelia?" Kiara said she was perplexed by my sitting in the middle of the hallway. I looked at her, confused.

"When did you get back here, and where are we?" I asked

"When did I get back here? Amelia, this is school, and the question I should be asking is, What happened to you?" Kiara asked

I felt blood run down my face from my nose and mouth. "Wha... what?" I said I was not grasping any of this.

"Did you get a concussion?" Kiara asked me

"No, no," I told her. She didn't seem to trust my judgment.

"I'll take you to the infirmary, come on." Kiara told me

I figured out that I had signs of using time travel way too much, but that can't be right. I didn't open another portal to another universe or timeline, so why am I here?

I patted my pocket, trying to find my pocket watch, but my heart sank into my stomach as I realized it wasn't there.

"No..." I mumbled, beginning to breathe heavily. I know I need to steady my breathing, but I physically can't.

"Ame!" Kiara yelled as she watched me grab my chest. I couldn't stop hyperventilating.

"What's going on?" A familiar voice asked if I could sense the dark aura from it.

"Ame is hurt and is acting oddly, Mumei," Kiara stated.

Mumei let out a laugh. I didn't like the sound of Kiara; I'll handle this from here, okay?" She asked

Kiara looked at Mumei, confused and reluctant to go okay." She finally said she began to walk down the hall. Mumei only turned back to me when she was out of sight.

"I'll cut to the chase; you aren't our Ame." Mumei stated. Her glare sent chills down my spine

I was shocked to hear, "Is it that obvious?" I asked

"Yeah, our Ame would have been a flustered mess in the face of Kiara since they have such a repulsive relationship," Mumei said.

"Repulsive Relationship," I said, taking a pause between both words. All of a sudden, I felt the urge to vomit due to the time travel side effects.

"Let it out," Mumei stated as I emptied my stomach onto the ground.

"This universe is a nightmare. I need to get back home, but I don't have my pocket watch!" I shouted

Mumei gave it some thought. Well, I'm not really good with time stuff, but it seems like you used your pocket watch so much that your body absorbed time radiation, and now you can use your abilities without it, albeit not very well," She said.

"What are you saying?" I asked

"Something happened in your timeline that made you activate a time jump unconsciously," Mumei said.

I tried to remember what may have happened, but my head was drawing a blank. "My brain is fogged up!" I exclaimed.

"Don't worry about it; I'll help you get home since you've peeked into this timeline before I clocked onto your Mumei, so I should be able to contact her," this Mumei said.

"Hey, can you tell me about this universe, Ame?" I asked

Mumei nodded. "She's honestly pretty worthless; she has nothing going for her, and as the other Ame say, she is being hindered by something." Mumei claimed

"What is it?" I asked her

"Not loving Gura" was the only answer I got as Mumei began to walk away.

"Wait, can I change this timeline?" I asked

"You could, but you'd only make a diverging branch, not change this world as a whole," Mumei stated.

"Well, I want this Ame to be set up for success!" I shouted

"All you Amelias disgust me, but you're the first one I've kind of liked," Mumei laughed.

"Where is Gura's room?" I asked

"Down the hall to the left," Mumei replied.

Thanks, I'll be back!" I yelled

I ran down the hall and got to her room. I knocked on the door mercilessly until she opened it. "Wait... Ame?" Gura said he was confused, as in this world Ame was already in the room with her.

I barged in and sat down. "Please listen to me!" I shouted, "You need to date Gura!" I said to Ame:

Okay," Ame said with no argument whatsoever.

"Wha... what?" I said in shock

"Well, I mean, Gura is hot, and I wouldn't listen to myself," She said.

"I'm okay with it," Gura said.

I was impressed by how quickly they decided to get together just because I showed up and told them to. This universe's Ame suddenly got a phone notification.

"Huh, that's odd; my boss canceled all my plans." Ame said she seemed happy about that.

"What does that mean?" Gura asked

"I guess no unnecessary conflict is going to happen," Ame said.

I left the room, oddly dumbfounded by what had transpired. I was met by Mumei.

"I commend you for deciding to make sure this Ame didn't date the wrong person. This isn't set in stone, but the most happy Ame and the strongest Ame all love Gura." She told me

"I'd settle for Ina and maybe even Calli, but that's a stretch," I said.

Mumei shrugged. "How about me?" She asked

"Yeah..." I replied with shame.

She immediately went away from that conversation and placed her hand on me.

"Let me converse with your Mumei!" She said that while tapping into my time powers for about a minute, she pulled away.

"What happened?" I asked

"We are sending you to the diverging point of all Ame, and Kronii will pick you up, so farewell," She said.

I didn't have time to say goodbye before being sucked into the timestream once again. My only question was what sent me here.
