Kiara pov: Bae convinced us to bring her along, much to our dismay. Kobo really wanted to see her, though.
"Let's try to ditch her." Calli told me
"That'll never work," I said back to her.
I suddenly felt my body being prodded by Bae, who had a knife.
"You'll lead me to Mumei!" Bae shouted
Pomu looked at me and shrank to her small fairy form, flying over to my ear.
"Kill her," she whispered.
"I-I can't..." I said
"Why?" Pomu asked
"Mumei is right there," I stated.
"Bae, get a fucking life; you don't need to know where I am constantly." Mumei said
"Shut up! You left and didn't tell me where you were going!" Bae said loudly:
"She literally did though," Irys said.
"Not now, Irys, where are Fauna and Kronii!?" Bae asked
"Well, Bae, I don't have time for this, but I think Fauna and Kronii are making out in a closet. I don't know." Mumei said
"You're coming back with us!" Bae shouted
She ran at Mumei, who just had an eerie smile on her face.
"No, I'm on vacation," Mumei calmly said.
She flew forward and punched Bae in the stomach, making her keel over.
"Look, Bae, I like you, but you need to know your place like Selen; she at least knows boundaries and personal space. I don't see her running over to me trying to get me back," Mumei said.
"Mumei, just go; I'll handle her," Calli said.
"No, I will handle this," Mumei said.
"I'll get you back no matter what!" Bae wheezed
Mumei tilted her head to the side, inspecting Bae's outfit. "Is that supposed to be casual?" She asked
"It makes me blend in!" Bae yelled
"No, it doesn't; I legit picked you out." Mumei said
"Mumei, you should calm down," I told her.
"Kiara, I will just let you deal with the rat," Mumei said.
"Then regulate your power and don't lose it too much," I told her.
"Kiara, you are too nice to me," Mumei giggled.
"You should go get Fauna and Kronii out of the closet," Calli said.
"No. I mean, they love each other too; they can stay a bit longer," Mumei said.
"Meimei, how is your father?" Sana asked
"Good, we forgot something back home, so we went back, and they're waiting for me, so that's why I need to stop Bae from being able to find us," Mumei said.
"Thank you, please knock her out!" Irys pleaded
"What the heck, why are you all against me?" Bae yelled
"I'm not!" Kobo shouted
"I didn't ask you!" Bae yelled
I watched as Calli decked Bae in the face and said, "Don't yell at my daughter!" She yelled
"Calli, calm down!" I said loudly:
"Don't be mad at her!" Clara said
"I-I'm sorry..." Calli spoke softly.
"Even my own family is against me." Bae growled
"Bae, it's not like that; you just need to stop," Calli said.
"Bae, you are also my sister, but Mumei has been for longer, so I side with her, but that doesn't mean I don't side with you," I said.
"Kiara, you don't understand!" Bae yelled
"Kiara, are you just going to sit there and take this?" Pomu asked into my ears.
"No..." I said
"KIARA!" Mumei screamed, making me jump.
"What?" I asked.
"Calm down," Mumei told me.
I looked down and noticed I instinctually grabbed my sword.
"Kiara, are you okay?" Calli inquired as she noticed my sweating.
I turned around and began to run away from everyone.
"Wait, Kiara, where are you going!?" Pomu asked
I ignored her and jumped up and flew away. A few seconds later, Mumei appeared in front of me.
"Kiara, stop..." Mumei said.
"Why should I?" I asked
"Look, Bae touched a nerve." I understand she is a bit dense sometimes, but you can't let her words get in your head like before," Mumei said.
"I'm sick of people saying I can't understand something." I told her
"Kiara, I know you have a lot of things you still can't forget from the past, but please go back. Calli is surely worried about you." Mumei said
"You're right," I said to her.
"Kiara, you're sweating a lot," Pomu told me.
"It's fine," I said to her.
"No, it's not Kiara; I can feel you shaking!" Pomu said
Mumei flew over to me, changed back into her human form, and hugged me tightly.
"Kiara, let's go. I'll take you to my father's, and then I'll let you rest. I'll knock out Bae, have Sana take her back to the council room, and I'll get Calli to you, okay?" Mumei asked
"Sure..." I said
"I'll be with you like always." Pomu said
"Okay..." I replied.
Mumei began to carry the two of us, taking us a scenic route.
"Wait, Calli will worry," I said.
"Don't worry, Sana is there; I'll mentally tell her," Mumei said.
"Mumei, do you think I'm selfish?" I asked
"No, why do you think that?" She asked
"I don't know..." I said
I felt Pomu tug gently on my ear, gaining my attention. "What?" I asked.
"You aren't selfish." I think I am the selfish one; I didn't notice my friend had been feeling like this," she said.
"Pomu, you aren't selfish," I said to her.
Mumei landed on the ground and placed me there.
"Stay with my father; I'll be back in a few minutes," Mumei said.
She flew off, and I approached the house with Pomu.
"So this is where Mumei lived..." I said
I gently knocked on the door, and the door swung open. I was met with a beautiful man. I was almost thrown off by his feminine appearance.
"Oh, who are you?" The man asked
"I'm Takahashi Kiara," I told him.
"Oh, Mumei's sister, come in!" He said
"What is your name?" I asked when I entered.
"Azure," he said to me.
I nodded, and he quickly got me something to drink.
"Oh, my friend Pomu is here too," I said to him. She got off my shoulder and grew back to normal.
"Okay, I'll make you two something to eat," he said.
I smiled and felt warm. Mumei's father seems nicer than my own.
