Zeta pov: I chased the damn mutt through the abyss of the forest, only catching up and tackling him as soon as Mumei-senpai and Selen were in sight. I gazed up and couldn't help but notice the austere look on my senpai's face.

It irks me to think that, because my senpai was making such an unforgiving face, her glare soon turned reproachful as I realized Mumei-senpai was disappointed in the speed with which I apprehended Axel.

I looked down in dejection and let out a sigh. "Sorry for the interruption," I said with rancor as I slammed the mutt's head into the ground.

"It's fine, just don't let him get in the way." Mumei-senpai scowled

Her expression didn't lighten up; she was filled with ire and really didn't want to be interrupted.

"Let's calm down!" Selen told all of us

Mumei-senpai and I took a deep breath and exhaled. We felt the tension evaporate into the air as we calmed down. Axel was the only thing here that was rageful.

"Let me go!" He howled while clawing at the ground desperately trying to escape; he clawed at it so much the ground began to have a blood trail.

"Shut the hell up, bastard!" I growled

"It's always the weak ones that are the most rowdy," Mumei explained.

I nodded. That is true. Axel is pretty weak, other than his strange ability.

"Since Zeta and Axel are here anyways, we may as well let them in on the plan," Selen said with resignation.

"No Axel will definitely tell... Mumei-senpai groaned

I could tell Mumei-senpai was thinking, but soon she frittered her thoughts away until there were none left: "I can't think of anything to do!" She finally declared

"Well, we could just knock him out or kill him!" I promoted

Mumei-senpai and Selen gazed at me and pondered my words as if they were considering the options I suggested.

"I don't deserve that!" Axel yelled

All the words that came out of his mouth were mundane. I stood up and stomped on his back, hearing a disgruntled yell from him. "We didn't ask you!" I hissed

It's not even that he was boring; his idea wouldn't be enticing to me because I'm annoyed by his arrogance and being a mutt.

"Because you're a cat," Mumei-senpai said slyly as she read my mind without second thought.

"Senpai!"  I yelled with dismay. She laughed at me, so I began to pout.

"Don't give me that look!" My senpai said

"Fine..."  I sighed

Mumei-senpai got to Axel's level and looked him in the eyes.

"I have a proposal," she told him.

"I don't want to hear it!" Axel yelled in response.

Mumei-senpai giggled a bit before quickly giggling to herself. She slashed with her knife, and his neck began to spurt blood. "Gwha!" He yelled in agony.

"That isn't enough to kill you, but if you don't comply, I'll finish the job." She laughed

"Y—you demon!"  Axel screamed, only to be interrupted by the cut getting wider.

"Be careful if you yell, you may open the wound up drastically." Mumei-senpai giggled I noticed she didn't deny the accusation

"What is it?" Axel asked as he surrendered.

"You will be our little dummy to help us with our little plan," Mumei-senpai said.

"No!"  Axel yelled again.

Mumei-senpai wound up her leg, and Axel looked on, perplexed.

"What are you doing?" He asked

"You see, with that slight incision, I can easily kick your head off," Mumei-senpai said.

He began to sweat as he realized Mumei-senpai wasn't bluffing; she really was going to punt his head off if he didn't comply.

"Fine, what do you need!?" He asked

"To keep Elira busy, don't worry, I'll get you a friend to do that." Mumei said softly

Axel gulped as he sensed the malice exiting Mumei's body.

"Anyways, Zeta, you'll have to watch him." She told me

"Why me!?"  I questioned

Mumei-senpai shot me a glance that instantly made me shut up. I wasn't about to argue with her when she was in one of these moods.

"Axel, do you accept and don't say anything, but yes, since you are a worthless maggot compared to me, your life is in my hands," Mumei laughed.

"Urk....Y—yeah!"  He said it with gusto.

Mumei just smiled before shooting forward and punching him in the stomach.

"That's not how you talk to a senpai... She growled

"I'm sorry, senpai! I will do it!" He yelled in between his coughs.

"Good..."  Mumei laughed

I gulped and looked at Mumei; it was really that easy to tame Axel. I wish I had the power to do so, and I do, but he doesn't listen.

"Mumei, you could go a little easier." Selen said

Mumei just sighed. "You are right," she told her.

Mumei's mood keeps shifting from mad to relaxed; she really can mask her emotions well. She glanced at me and cleared her throat.

"I expect you to keep this worm in check," Mumei said.

"Got it!"  I said

Mumei walked over to me and hugged me.
"It's been a while, huh?" She asked

"Y—yeah..."  I said it in awe.

"Should I be here or are you two going to kiss?" Selen asked

"I'm going to kick your ass." Mumei-senpai yelled

"Try me!"  Selen yelled

I looked at Axel and crouched down to his level.

"You okay?"  I asked while gently patting his back.

"Yeah, thanks, Zeta," he wheezed, finally saying my name.

"We should probably get you patched up," I told him softly.

"Thanks, senpai," he said.

"Mumei, I think you broke him," I told her.

"Axel, be a man. Just because I humbled you doesn't mean you should cry like a baby. Get stronger." Mumei groaned

"Yeah, that's true, Mutt!" I told him

He looked at me with anger and said, "I will!" He screamed before passing out.

"Let's see... we'll start in ten minutes since Kiara is busy," Mumei said.

I had no idea how she knew, but I trusted her.
