Mumei pov: Selen angered me too much. Yes, I'll admit I'm way too stunned; however, why should I trust her when she isn't sorry for her old actions? Down the hall, I heard Fauna and Kronii calling for me, so I transformed into an owl and flew above them so they passed me.
"I'm sorry, you two, but you aren't the one I need to talk to." I sighed as I read their thoughts. I landed and transformed, biting my lip, upset at myself.
I came to a fork in the hall. I sensed those two went right, so I went left, "Mumei-senpai!" Zeta yelled as she chased after me. I realized she could sense me, so I lowered my energy to try to make it harder for her.
I took a right at the upcoming fork and ended up running into Moona-senpai and Iofi-senpai.
"Wait, how did you get in front of me? You were just back there!" I said
"Moona, stay back..." Iofi said
"What do you want?" I questioned
"I think I understand why you are so mad." "I've been in your position once, but maybe you should learn that instead of blaming Selen for choosing a different path than you, you should embrace it and accept her apology." Iofi told me
"You don't get it at all...." I growled
"Mumei, I do..." She said calmly
I ripped out my dagger and squeezed it tightly. "Shut up!" I growled
I flew forward and swung the knife at her head. She bent backwards, ducking under it. I flew past her and smiled. That's what I wanted. As soon as I hit the ground, I began to run, but soon I noticed Iofi was in front of me again.
I looked back. Moona-senpai was still where she once was, but Iofi-senpai wasn't.
"Mumei, I do get you. Moona told me that she wanted to be a servant, and Risu wanted to stay in the mystical forest. None of them wanted to go to space with me, and I resented them for it," Iofi-senpai said.
"Shut up.." I said as I began to lose it. I looked to the left of me and smashed through the wall going onto the next hallway and I ran as fast as I could getting a good distance away. "Finally.." I panted.
"Have you finally forgiven Selen?" Iofi asked
"How are you doing this?" I asked
"Please, Mumei, listen to me." I accepted Moona and Risu's apology. "I regretted running away, so just turn back," she told me.
"Rich coming from you." I hissed
Shachou forgave me for abandoning her. Moona-senpai said as she came up from behind me.
"Oh, are you all going to pretend you know how I feel?" I asked
"No..." Iofi said, "We know nothing since we at least had stuff from the start and you had nothing." She continued to say,
"Then leave me alone." I cried while flying up in owl form and going as far as I could away from her once again.
I stopped to catch my breath, but all of a sudden I sensed Zeta behind me.
"Mumei-senpai, are you okay?" She asked
"No..." I said as I glared at her, trying to scare her off.
"I'm not going to leave senpai," she told me.
"I sense Selen is coming. Stop her from reaching this room." I said
"No. I think it may be good if you two talk it out," Zeta said.
"Sorry, but that isn't happening now." I told her
I jumped into the air, bursting through the ceiling and coming onto the top floor. I was midair when I suddenly sensed Kiara. She was flying at me and suddenly transformed into her human form, tackling me to the ground.
"Mumei!!!" She screamed while we fell and hit the ground, and as soon as I could, I threw her off of me.
I was wrapped up in plants and frozen in them as soon as I stood up. Fauna and Kronii approached me and hugged me from behind.
"Mumei, listen to me. You should make up with Selena." "I'm sure if you two talk it out, then you can come to an understanding," Kiara said.
"It's not that I don't want to talk to her; it's just that I have no idea what to say at this point; she's become too difficult to talk to," I said.
"Why's that?" Kiara asked
"She's sarcastic, and she also purposely riles people up; even when she's trying to be sincere, she tries to hit me. I can't trust her," I said.
"Then trust me when I say that it'll be alright. You don't have to forgive her for the past. Just move on," Kiara told me.
"Easy for you to say you forgiven Calli," I said.
"I have, however, at the same time, there is a part of my heart that aches when I see her. I can't get rid of that feeling, but we can push past it because we are different than we were four months ago," Kiara told me.
"It's been a while since I've last seen Selen; we've both changed." I said
"Yes, so talk about the new, not the old," Kiara suggested.
"You all are trying to help me come to terms with her again, but that can't happen and won't happen again," I said.
"You haven't tried Mumei yet, so please talk to me about how you feel, and then we'll face her together," Kiara said while reaching her hand out.
I gulped and looked deep into her eyes. I didn't know why she was being so persistent, but I wasn't angry at her. She was reaching out to me when I needed it the most. I am really happy to have her as a sister.
"Alright," I told her as I grabbed her hand.
We are going to fav this together. I was going to have to open up to her like she had with me, but I am not going to let that get in my head.
