Learning To Understand

Reine pov: I walked towards Ollie, Anya, and Moona-senpai, but deep down in my mind, I wanted to talk to Kiara some more about us.

"Why did you leave?" Moona-senpai questioned me; I gave her a pass since she wasn't involved with the conversation, and Anya as well.

"Are you mad at Ollie?" Anya questioned

I glared at the zombie and took a deep breath. "Appearances matter," Is all I said.

Ollie rolled her eyes. "Are you still on that? They do matter; trust me, why wouldn't they matter?" I was asked

Moona-senpai and Anya seemed to understand what I meant immediately: "What is true beauty?" I questioned

"That doesn't matter!" Ollie retorted

"It matters to me!" I screamed

Ollie fell silent. The only sound I could hear was my heavy breathing. Moona-senpai walked up to me and comforted me. I looked at the beautiful purple-haired maiden in front of me and smiled. Anya noticed my change in mood. "You calm now?" She asked me

"Yeah, I'm calm," I stated.

"You don't look calm," Moona-senpai replied to me.

I bit down on my lip. "Oh yeah?" I stated that I was trying to make them believe that I hadn't lost my cool.

Look, I'm sorry! Is that what you wanted to hear!" Ollie asked

"Wow, you sound more enthusiastic; why don't you?" I asked sarcastically:

"I am really trying. I promise, it's just that I don't get why the hell you are so mad!" Ollie yelled

"I was enslaved," I said to her.

She was taken aback by that sudden statement, but she didn't seem to want to back down.

"I was trapped, suffocated, and felt like I had no purpose, but in the end I was saved. People understanding how I feel is beauty. My true beauty isn't something you can just mock," I said.

"If this is about Kiara, I don't want to hear it!" Ollie stated

"You don't want to talk to me?" I yelled

"No, not if you are going to be difficult and not talk to me like an adult!" Ollie said

"Ollie!!!" I screamed. I ran at her and tackled her to the ground. Her arms flew off on the impact. "I'm trying to talk to you, damn it. It pisses me off that you refuse to say, Let's talk about us!" I yelled

Ollie looked at me, her expression unchanging; she didn't even show any signs of remorse.

"You should say that..." She spat

"Shut up... I shouldn't have to take the initiative in this scenario. You wronged me. I understand if I did something to piss you off, but this was all you, so why is it my fault!?" I yelled

"Because I am mad, you'd rather spend time with Kiara than me!" Ollie yelled back.

I grabbed her face and began to squeeze hard. "She's my sister; why wouldn't I want to spend time with her? Why can't you act like you are even interested in me right now? Stop pretending like I don't matter!" I yelled

"What the hell does that mean? If anything happens, you'd go to her before you would come to me!" Ollie growled as she bit down on my hand.

"You realize how pathetic you sound being jealous of my sister for being there to support me!" I yelled

I tore my hand out of her mouth and began to tear her head off her body. "Stop acting like you can decide everything for me!" I yelled

"Then reply to me!" Ollie screamed

Anya got in the way of both of us and pushed me away from Ollie. "Stop it!" She yelled at us.

I looked at Ollie, who was on the ground, practically dismembered. I was a little apologetic, but I needed her to admit she was in the wrong with me.

Reine, you need to cool off." Moona-senpai request

She was right. I do actually need to cool off, but I'm just so frustrated at Ollie. We both raised our voices, and this isn't good at all.

"Ollie, I apologize, but if you aren't ready to talk to me, then stay away from me, and please think about your actions!" I hissed

The zombie girl sighed. "You're right..." She told me

I looked at her, and she looked away. "About what?" I asked

"I haven't been thinking about your feelings, but I just think it's so selfish for you to get mad at me for a passing comment," Ollie stated.

"Those types of comments hurt more!" I mentioned it to her.

She pondered on it and nodded as she realized I was right about that. I don't want her to feel completely awful, but I just want her to understand my perspective.

"Ollie, I can't reprimand you for how you feel, and I apologize for not considering that you want me to come to you first, but there are some issues that I can't have your help with." I stated

"I understand how you feel I just want you to look at me more and trust me more is that too much to ask?" Ollie softly questioned

"I already do trust you; that's why I love you, Ollie, but you need to understand that I also need my space. I can't keep doing the same thing over and over or we'll be in this same predicament. We need to communicate," I said.

"I agree; you want me to give up on Matsuri-senpai, correct?" Ollie asked

I nodded, "I do; let's talk about us." I said

"Us..." Ollie replied with a nod.

"This is something you need to say to me, please," I told her.

"Reine, can we please talk about us? I want to talk about us more than anything right now!" Ollie shouted

"Okay, then let's evaluate our relationship," I stated.

Anya sighed with relief that we finally calmed down and started talking calmly.

I want to discuss what we should do next, and maybe we can finally consider the future.
