Iroha pov: "Where the hell did you two go?" Laplus asked us I tilted my head to the side in confusion as to why she wanted to know so much; it was like she was suspicious all of a sudden.
"We just were talking about the benefit of the team," Koyori quickly said in response in order to throw her off the trail.
"You are trying to revolt against Holox after we rule the world, aren't you!" Laplus screamed in pure rage.
Lui, Koyori, and I were all shocked that she came to that revilation; she isn't the type to analyze things like this. Chloe looked around at all of us, confused by all of this. She genuinely wasn't aware of Koyori's hatred.
"So what if I am planning on that, Laplus? It's none of your damn business what I do, so stay out of this, please!" Koyori howled like a rabid animal.
Laplus' fury just exasperated her: "You are going to betray us just like that!" She screamed
"Yes..." is all Koyori had to say; she said it bluntly and in succinct sentences in order to get her point across.
"After everything, you just betrayed us?" Laplus snarled. She began to grind her teeth together and balled up her fist. Koyori cracked her neck and reached into her lab coat, both of them preparing to attack.
Laplus lunged forward, getting ready to punch, but I stood in the way, blocking the fist with my sword sheath in my peripheral vision. I saw Koyori had pulled out one of her blockade drugs; she was planning to blow this location sky high.
I pulled my sheath back and swung it at the side of her head, but she moved, and her horn blocked it. "Damn it!" I growled as I was completely open. Laplus attacked me, her fist colliding with her stomach. I expected an explosion of pain, but it was as if a toddler had hit me. "Is that all you got?" I asked before kicking her away.
"You betrayed me too, bodyguard-I mean Iroha!" Laplus yelled
"My name is Kazama Iroha. I'm a samurai, I am in love with Hakui Koyori, and I am a noble woman with many values. If my beloved wants to do something, I will stick with her forever-you underestimate my resolve, I hearsay!" I shouted
"This is a declaration of war!" Laplus angrily hissed.
"Fine by me..." Koyori said that all of a sudden she grabbed me and jumped back, pulling me along as she threw the blockade drug. "You attacked first!" She growled as the gernade-looking drug slammed onto the ground and instantly detonated, engulfing the other three.
"You did it!" I panted
"Not quite one of them is persistent." Koyori said
Lui flew out of the flames, carrying Sakamata and Laplus out. She glared at us, her eyes resembling hawks. Now I saw that Laplus was badly burned and was passed out.
"It's not too late to join our cause." Lui stated
"Our causes can coexist; however, I decided we can't have you around." Koyori said
"It's a shame..." Lui-nee stated
"I do have a drug that will make Laplus forget about this, but what will that do? I can't willingly make you forget about this." Koyori stated, and Lui-nee nodded.
"You two really were planning our downfall, why!?" Chloe asked
"Have you ever had the feeling that nothing you do is appreciated? My parents always compared me to my peers, and no matter how much I evolved and grew, I was still not good enough. I wasn't abused physically, but I'm inadequate to everyone. The world has cursed me to be second fiddle to everyone, and I'm so sick of it!" Koyori howled
Chloe put on her mask and sighed while walking. "I've never thought that once," She told the coyote as she lunged at her, going in for a decent right hook.
"Come on, Sakamata, you've had everything from the start." Koyori stated calmly:
She was aware of me running in on pure instinct alone. I swiped my real katana and ended up making a gash in Sakamata's face. "Damn it!" She yelled while clutching it in agony.
I looked down and saw her blood drip off my sword. This is how it has to be if they raise their hand against Koyori. I'm ready for it.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Koyori asked as if she were trying to convince herself.
Yes, I am," I told her in order to validate her.
"Then give me Sakamata's head!" She shouted
I nodded and lunged forward, swinging my blade at her neck. "Luiiiiii!" Sakamata screeched before my katana could connect. Lui flew down and slammed the blade against the ground with her foot.
Iroha, jump back!" Koyori yelled
I didn't think about it and just jumped back and saw another blockade drug land next to me with a thump. It exploded, and I barely escaped the flames. Lui flew back with Chloe, and I noticed their skin was hit a tiny bit as I fell back. I prepared for a rough fall, but Koyori caught me.
"You okay?" She asked with worry.
Yes, I am," I politely responded.
Koyori suddenly leaned in next to my ear. "Hold your breath as soon as I throw this and run," She said as she pulled a vile out. I just nodded.
I watched as she threw the thing; it crashed on the ground and created blue smoke. As it faded, I saw Chloe and Lui collapse on the ground, seemingly asleep.
"What was that?" I asked
"It is a substance that knocks you out and makes you think an experience was a bad dream," Koyori explained while pulling out three syringes and three healing potions.
"What are those for?" I asked
"To draw all three of their blood and heal the three of them, so they just think it was a dream," She said.
I don't know why she needs their blood, but probably for something down the line.
