Choco pov: What was I supposed to be doing in this moment? I can't remember, but my mind is flooded with thoughts of Mel-sama. I stared at the devil hunter in front of me, who jabbed a sword in my direction. Ayame-dono ran in front of it and blocked it.
How did we get into this situation anyway? I can't remember. It's funny that there are about thirty devil hunters trying to kill me, and yet Mel-sama is the only thing on my mind.
"Get down!" Shion-sama yelled
Subaru tackled me to the ground so Shion-sama could blast the devil hunter behind me.
"What is wrong with you?" Ayame-dono asked as she decapitated the hunter she was fighting, accidentally revealing she was an oni in the process.
Subaru picked up a discarded sword and went to fight. I saw Aqua-sama, who was hiding behind a tree near me. One of the hunters grabbed her.
"If you don't hand over the devils, I'll kill her!" They threatened as the man put the sword closer to her throat.
"Choco-sensei, you are closest; help her!" Shion-sama screamed
I stood up and walked over, slamming my hand into the man's throat and squeezing until I heard a snap. He fell limp instantly.
"Aqu-tan go..." I said to her:
"Wait, doesn't that blonde chick remind you of the vampire woman we captured recently?" One of the men asked
"Oh yeah, that pathetic loser!" Another one said
"Wasn't her name Mel?" Someone chimed in
"Yeah, I think it doesn't matter," they all laughed.
"Hahahahahahahahahaha!" I laughed
"We need to go..." Ayame-dono said in fear
"Huh?" Subaru, Shion-sama, and Aqu-tan questioned
"We need to move!" Ayame-dono screamed
She grabbed Subaru, Shion-sama, and Aqua-sama all in one swoop and jumped out of the way before I swiped my hand. Everyone stood there getting ready to attack, but all but one erupted into pieces. Blood spewed all over, dyeing the sole survivor red.
"Where is Mel-sama?" I asked the man as I walked towards them.
"I'm just an exorcist from Xenokuni; I don't know!" He yelled
I walked over and put my fingers near his eye. "I don't believe you, so I'm taking one," I said.
"Wait!" Subaru yelled, "hear him out."
"What is your name?" I asked
"Banzoin Hakka!" He shouted
Hakka was hyperventilating. I backhanded him and sent him flying through a tree. As my anger grew, I felt my wings begin to grow more and more. I flew over, grabbed him, and flew up far into the sky.
"Point me to the base, or I'm dropping you from terminal velocity!" I screamed
He stoically pointed to the area we came from, which was the mystical forest. I began to laugh.
"Liar!" I hissed before throwing him to the ground.
Before he hit the ground and became a puddle, I caught him before immediately slamming him into the ground. As he writhed on the ground, I flipped him over and plunged my fingers into his back, grabbing a hold of his spine.
"Last chance..." I told him
"On the outskirts of Xenokuni," he said in fear.
"You're leading me there." I scoffed
I walked over to Aqu-tan to get something to wash his blood off my hands.
"You okay?" Subaru asked
"Never better!" I giggled.
"You seem mad..." Shion-sama said
"No..." I stated.
"Don't trust her." Ayame-dono sighed
"You definitely are pissed," Subaru said.
"No, I'm not..." I growled
"Don't lie to us!" Aqua-sama said
Hakka slowly stood up and limped towards us.
"Faster!" I screamed
He nodded, ran in front of us, and began to lead us to Xenokuni. He kept looking back to see if we had lost us, and I made sure he understood his position.
"Can I go to the bathroom?" He asked
"I can help you not go Aqu-tan has scissors," I said.
He looked down and gulped, realizing what I was implying. He immediately shut up and walked forward.
Mel-sama is in danger. I need to save her, and maybe then I can start trying to make her forgive me.
Hakka quickly turned around, trying to sprint past us, but I stood in front of him and punched him to the ground.
"You think you can run?" I asked
"Y—yes..." he said.
"You run, and trust me, I'll find you, and I'll make sure to tear you apart limb by limb. You are nothing but a pathetic man who kidnapped the woman I love, so if you want to run, go ahead, but just know you'll have to live the rest of your life in seclusion. You will never be able to go anywhere in the world ever again!" I yelled
"I'm just doing my job!" He yelled
I didn't want to do this, but he left me with no choice. I walked over to him and grabbed his soul, taking it out of his body. He looked around confused.
"If I destroy this, I can kill you any time or anywhere I want," I said.
"Tsk..liar!" He scoffed
I squeezed it, and he screamed in agony.
"You think I'm joking now?" I asked
"Nooooo!" He screamed
"You are taking this too far." Aqua-sama said
"No, I'm not. I need to save Mel-sama, or are you working with these idiots!?" I asked
"N—no!" Aqu-tan cried
"I'm sorry, I'm just on edge." I stated
They all knew that, and they looked at one another before looking back at me.
"You need to tell us about you and Mel-senpai's relationship," Subaru said.
I groaned and looked at all of them. To be fair, I didn't want to open this up to everyone.
"I'll tell you on one condition," I said.
"What is it?" They asked
"Afterwards, we split up," I said.
"Huh?" They all said
I feel like they won't want me to be near them afterwards.
They all shook their heads.
"We'll pass on the story," Subaru said as they all walked forward.
I looked on in shock. It seems like they are true friends
