Ina pov: I had looked away for two seconds, and when I did, Gura and Ame began to be stupid; they were trying to replicate what Mumei tried to do with Ame and open up gates to other dimensions.
"Stop you morons!" I yelled at them.
"Watson just wants to make sure there isn't anyone actually coming after her," Gura said.
"So you're going to open up a dimension and possibly alert the hunter to come here?" I said
"No, we are just making sure she'll be safe," Gura said.
"Ughh... I can't even begin to tell you how dumb of an idea this is, but let's go," I said.
I placed my hand on Ame's head next to Gura's to try to take some of the strain and help her open portals. I then had a thought.
"Won't Kronii kill you for misusing the pocket watch?" I asked
"Yes, but I need to do this!" Ame said
"I got it," I mumbled.
Ame pressed the pocket watch and began trying to open the portal. I noticed blood began to drip onto the ground after about a minute of trying. Gura immediately stopped and looked at Ame.
"Stop it..." Gura said loudly:
Ame stopped trying to open a portal and slumped forward, blood still dripping. I went over to see what was going on, and as she lifted her head a little bit, I saw blood pouring out of her nose and eyes.
"Oh no," I said.
"I can keep going!" Ame yelled
"No, you can't and you won't!" Gura yelled
"I can keep going!" Ame screamed again.
She pressed the button again and began trying to open another portal.
"You stressed yourself already in the past couple of days; you can't use your time powers so stupidly, moron!" Gura yelled
Ame's eyes grew more bloodshot, and her eyes poured more blood out.
"I will finish this!" She groaned before blood spurted out of her nose.
"Amelia Watson, stop it!" Gura yelled
"N-no..." Gura said
She fell over and hit her face on the ground, passing out due to blood loss.
"Ame..." Gura mumbled
She went to pick her up, but Ame woke up a few seconds later and said, "Let's continue..." She panted
"Are you stupid!?" I asked
"Ina, you wouldn't get it." Ame wheezed
"We promised to face this together, but we can't face this together if you keep destroying yourself like this!" I yelled
"Look Amelia "I respect your drive, but you need to stop this; you can't keep hurting yourself," Gura said.
"But I need to keep searching!" Ame said
"We literally haven't started; you can't open a portal, and you are bleeding profusely out your nose and eyes!" I said
"I'm sorry," Ame said before pressing down on the pocket watch again.
She began to sweat, mixing it with the blood. Her breathing grew heavy, and she bit down on her lip to try to quell the pain. Gura smacked the pocket watch out of her hand.
"Stop it, moron!" Gura screamed
Ame looked dazed; she was exhausted and doesn't seem to really grasp reality anymore.
"You need to be in your best health, just in case!" Gura said
Ame didn't say a word to that; she moved her hand around frantically looking for the discarded pocket watch until she got a hold of it.
"I can keep going..." She panted
"Amelia, if you try again, I'll kick your ass!" Gura yelled
Ame began to press down on the button a little bit.
"Amelia, stop it, or I'll break up with you!" Gura hissed
Ame stopped in her tracks; she didn't seem to want to keep going anymore, luckily.
"Thank you, please try again once you get decent rest. Maybe you should let Ina or I do the work." Gura suggested
"N-no, you can't handle it." Ame said
I looked at her in dismay. She can handle time powers, but they clearly end up destroying her body. She can't keep doing this; if she does, she will lose too much blood.
"I will open at least one portal before I rest!" Ame yelled
"No, you will not..." Sana stated as she hugged me from behind.
"Oh, welcome back," I said.
Sana laughed a bit before kissing one of my squishies. She then grew serious.
"I prohibit you from using time powers until you rest!" Sana scolded
"You have no authority!" Ame wheezed
"I do, though I'm in council, and even if I am not directly in charge of you since no one else in council is around, technically I'm your superior!" Sana stated
Ame disagreed, but she nodded in response.
"You can't destroy your body, and besides, doing this is completely reckless; you saw what happened when Mumei tampered with time and another Zeta and Kaela showed up from another dimension." Sana then said
"Sorry, but someone may be hunting me." Ame said
"We all saw that other Ame, but you can't just sit here and destroy yourself; you need to rest just in case you have to fight!" Sana yelled
"Ame, remember when we fought Omega? We weren't ready then, but we stood more of a chance since we were at 100%, but right now you wouldn't be able to stand up against them!" Gura said
"Yeah, but I am not fighting Omega!" Ame said
"That's not the damn point." Gura said
"The point is that you are hurting yourself and making it easier for the would-be hunter; you will be defenseless!" I said
Ame knew we were right, but she didn't want to admit it; she just wanted to see if there was a hunter or not. She wasn't really thinking about her health because she's still worried about the hunter.
"The five of us promised we'd face this as a group, so we will finish this as a group even if we aren't in the same location," I said.
"I guess you are right," Ame said as she passed out once again.
I sighed and looked at Gura. We need to make sure nothing happens to her.
