Bae pov: I gave a quick glance at Mumei, who was sleeping on Fauna and Kronii's thighs, and I wondered what pushes her to wake up every day?
Is it Fauna and Kronii? If so, what makes them wake up?
I looked at Sana as well-why does she always look forward?
I don't understand what council is supposed to be doing, despite the fact that I'm the leader.
What is it that we have to do? Irys glared at me and tilted her head to the side. "You look like you are using your brain to shock me." She told me
"I always use it." I growled
"Debatable," Irys commented.
I rolled my eyes and sighed in disgust. She really is testing me right now.
She purposely is angering me to make me show the power of chaos or something.
"I don't have time for this," I said.
"Oh, you're running from your problems?" Irys asked
I didn't even know what to say to that; of course I am, so why would I face my problems? Head on, that's like the dumbest thing I could do. Sometimes it's better to step back and assess the situation or ignore it.
"Bae, sometimes you need to face your problems," Irys stated.
I rolled my eyes once again. I'm not about to be lectured by someone who isn't good at it.
She is trying to give me hope, but it isn't working.
Hope, space, time, nature, civilization, and chaos-what are they?
Even though they can all be physical things, people still call them "concepts." It makes no sense to me.
Even if the other concepts besides civilization actually mean nothing, then why are we here?
Omegaα would actually be destroying the world if they annihilated all of us other than Mumei, so what is their end goal, their purpose, and the reason they want to fight?
The six of us don't know what the council was meant to do, which is why nothing changed. Were we just meant to watch over the world and not fix anything? Did we begin to get too involved with the affairs of the people we were supposed to overlook?
What are we supposed to do with our powers, and why were we granted such abilities?
Kronii and Sana have always existed. I'm pretty sure Fauna and Mumei were meant for balance; at some point, Irys showed up, and I did as well.
But I have no idea why I was here to overlook the rest.
None of them listen to me. I don't get it, so what is it that I'm missing here? What is an outlier? What are concepts?
"Bae, you need to face your problem!" Irys yelled at me
I looked up at her and sighed.
"That's impossible," I told her.
She rolled her eyes in response.
"It's easy, you just need to try, damn it!" Irys yelled
I was taken aback by her boldness. Why was she acting like this all of a sudden?
Irys seemed to be more serious since her training was a lot more disciplined, which should be a good thing, but all she does is lecture me.
If I wanted to be lectured, I'd find Ollie and do something bad. This sucks.
Should I heed her advice and actually face my problem head-on?
Why would I do that when I could just sit back, relax, and do nothing?
What problems do I even have with chaos other than the constant destruction my concept causes?
Then I came to the realization that chaos kills people; it makes them suffer...
This concept is the most dangerous of them all. Yes, civilization is pretty much the basis of them all, but chaos surrounds it, bringing a form of calamity.
I need to find a way to keep chaos in check, but I can't control chaos, even if I am the embodiment of chaos. It's impossible to control chaos; you can't stop a calamity.
Mumei slowly opened her eyes. "That was a good nap," she yawned.
"You slept for like two minutes, senpai... Zeta said
"That is correct, and that is enough!" Mumei happily said
I saw her pull up her cloak's hood; it was the first time I've ever seen her do that.
"Fauna, Kronii, we're going on a little adventure," Mumei suddenly said.
"Okay!" The two girls happily said
This made me wonder what is nature and time's place in the spectrum; they seem like they are all close concepts, a triangle if you will, but where does space fit in all of this?
It feels like another triangle, but are nature and time closer to civilization than space?
Nothing makes sense to me. I honestly feel like my brain has just been saying random things in order to come up with a conclusion.
Maybe nature and time are close to civilization because they are all needed concepts for the life cycle, but then chaos would be the end all.
Even hope fits in with civilization in some ways, but chaos doesn't fit with it in any way other than destruction.
Why are things the way they are, though? I asked
"Stop having a midlife crisis." Mumei told me
I realized she was reading my mind and probably knew everything I was saying but didn't admit it for some of it. reason
"I'm not!" I told her
She looked at me and shook her head; she was pretending not to know.
Irys looked at me and gained my attention.
"You need to learn about something," Irys told me.
"What is it?" I asked
Irys began to pull out documents from the council room that confused me. I haven't seen them before Mumei laughed.
"I think it's time to show her," Mumei giggled.
"Show me what?" I asked
"Oh, Bae is finally going to learn?" Sana said
"She didn't know?" Fauna and Kronii questioned:
Mumei laughed at me and handed me the document. I looked at them. and my jaw dropped.
These papers held the truth of our existence, and they finally gave us leverage.
