Kiara pov: I dipped my feet into the lake, and steam flew into the air. "Ooww!" Finana whined as the water heated up. I felt sorry, but then again, I couldn't do anything about my body heating up the water. Calli sat down next to me and dipped her feet into the water. I was afraid her nail polish would melt, but it didn't.
"Kiara, does the water feel nice?" Calli asked
"Yeah, it does when water hits my body; it's pretty much the only time I have experienced feeling like a human as it cools down my body," I explained.
"Your body always feels normal to me," Calli said slyly. I laughed at her sad attempt to try to be cool.
"Calli, you haven't seen me at my maximum temperature." I chuckled.
She cocked her head to the side. "show me" She abruptly said
"Only if you want me to boil Finana alive," I said.
"Yes please!" Pomu happily shouted
We both glared at Pomu, who fell silent. She clearly doesn't want Finana to be near Selen; she has problems.
"Hey Kiara," Reine said as she dipped her feet into the water.
"Hey Reine," I calmly said.
Calli and I looked at Reine, not processing that she was here with us.
"Why are you here, and are you okay?" I asked her in shock.
"I'm here because someone offended me, and yes, I am okay," Reine said.
"Was it about true beauty?" I asked
"You know it!" Reine said
"You're always beautiful, Reine," I said to her. She smiled at me. I loved her cute smile.
"Thank you, Kiara; honestly, you all make me feel appreciated!" Reine said
"Who fucked up?" I asked
"Some girl named Mika—you don't know her." Reine sighed
"Did something happen with Ollie?" I asked
"She's fine, but she didn't even ask me if I was okay when I stormed off!" Reine yelled
"I'm so sorry!" I said
"You don't have to be!" Reine said
Calli was just watching us banter when she grabbed my arm and squeezed. She's jealous of me for not paying much attention to her.
"Calli, do you need the water to be hotter?" I asked
"That would be ideal; it's gotten cooler." She mentioned
I heated up my body, and the water began to heat up. Calli seemed to relax more. I smirked at her as she slumped over.
"Why are you cute?" I asked
"What do you mean?" Calli asked
"You are adorable, Calli," I said to embarrass her. She became flustered, and I even got a laugh out of Reine.
"Stop laughing..." Calli sighed while being submerged in the water.
Reine looked at Calli, still smiling, and she looked at me again. "Kiara, what do you think true beauty is?" I was asked
I pondered that "true beauty is what is inside of you; everyone has it, but not all can capture their own beauty since they need to know themselves in order to know what true beauty is."
"You are so smart, Kiara." Reine stated I laughed in response to her statement, "I know," which I mentioned to her.
"You should probably go back to Ollie," Calli said.
"Really why?" Reine asked
"Because she is going to be worried, have you thought about how my mom feels?" Calli acknowledged that she is Ollie's stepdaughter.
"No, I haven't, and I'm sorry." Reine said Her tone perplexed me, but I decided not to pay any mind to it.
"Reine, feel free to stay for as long as you like," I said. She smiled at me. "Thank you," she mentioned.
I wondered when Mumei was going to land on the ground, and when she did, we would have a big sisterly talk about things the three of us needed to have a normal conversation about, although we did have one yesterday.
"Hello, are you Reine?" Azure -Papa asked
"Yes, I am, and you are?" She politely asked.
"I'm your sister's father," Azure -Papa explained
"Ah, nice to meet you!" Reine said
I noticed she bowed slightly despite sitting down. She is really formal on occasion for no reason. Of course she should be formal with Mumei's father, but it's just odd for her to be this formal.
"Is everything okay, Reine?" I asked again.
"Yeah, thanks for asking," she said once again.
I don't really trust her, but I feel like I have to since I'm the older sister. She definitely is hiding something from me, but I don't want to push her since she is my little sister. She needs some time to release her feelings to all of us.
"Tell me when you are ready," I said.
Reine seemed shocked that I saw through her facade, but at the same time she was oddly happy that I knew her so well.
I have been with her for a while. I understand everything about her, and when I don't, I am open to learning. She is such a nice girl.
"Mumei should be landing soon," says Azure. -Papa said
"Really?" I asked.
"I can sense her flying this way," Reine said.
"Wait Reine-senpai?" Zeta said as she looked over to us.
She walked over, and we all waved to her. She seemed confused as to why Reine was here, but she didn't ask any questions. She respects Reine's privacy, and I am glad about that, to be honest.
Reine stood up and began to strip until she was half naked, and she walked fully into the water.
"Let's join her," I said to Calli.
"Sure," she replied.
We did the same thing and followed her. Reine looked back and paused. She definitely wanted to tell me about scenting but stopped herself. Even if she isn't ready now, I will be ready.
I will always be ready for her and my other sisters.
"Hey Reine!" Lui-nee called out
Reine waved to her and laughed. "Everyone is here besides Subaru," she said.
Honestly, she should bite her tongue; that could happen.
