Dimension Gazing

Watson pov: I shot awake and immediately clutched my head with my right hand, trying to quell my throbbing headache, while I searched for my pocket watch with my left hand, grasping it tightly. I got up and walked over to Gura.

"Let's continue..." I said to her:

"No, you moron, you need to rest!" Gura yelled

"I have for about twenty minutes." I panted

Gura couldn't argue about that, but she still tried to grab my pocket watch. I got away and walked to the rock I sat on before and began to get to work. I was rested enough to open a portal. A second after it opened, a shard of glass shot out and grazed my shoulder, cutting into it. I just bit my lip and made it so I could look inside the portal.

"Nothing, then where did the glass come from?" I questioned

Gura ran over and slapped the pocket watch out of my hand, forcing the forest to close.

"You can't time travel or project timelines in the state you are in, moron!" Gura hissed

"Why are you being so tough!" I asked

"I don't know, dumbass, maybe because I care about you and you keep hurting yourself!" Gura yelled

I grabbed the pocketwatch again and pressed it as hard as I could. A portal opened instantly, and we both noticed the gravitational pull it was sucking us into. The two of us were secured by Ina's tentacles before we could be sucked in all the way.

"You need to stop this, Ame!" Ina yelled

"The button is stuck," I said in shock.

The portal stopped its pull and cleared up, showing another timeline.

"What the heck is going on there?" Sana asked

"It seems like this is a timeline where Kiara and I get together, and Calli and Gura?" I said

"That seems weird," Ina said.

"You are alone still," Sana said.

Ina glared at Sana and punched her arm playfully.

"You and Sana are still together; you must be a dimensional constant." I laughed.

"No, but seriously, I can't imagine being in a relationship with Calli; she seems a little rough." Gura said

"I can't imagine being with Kiara; she seems a little too horny," Gura said.

"The most weird thing to me is that Irys and Bae are in a functional relationship," Sana said.

"Mumei, Fauna, and Kronii don't seem very different either," Ina pointed out.

"Okay, so besides those two weird pairings, everything is normal?" I questioned

"Seems like it," Gura stated.

I tried to shut the portal, but the button was still stuck. I kept trying to pry it up, but it wouldn't come up. "Help me!" I yelled

Ina wrapped a small tentacle around the button and tried to pry it up, but it wouldn't budge.

"How hard did you push this down!?" Ina asked

"I don't know!" I yelled

We must have hit the button a certain way because that portal closed and another one opened. I felt sick to my stomach because it happened so fast, but I wasn't bleeding out of my eyes yet.

"This doesn't even look like a universe we'd be familiar with." I said

"I see Mumei, Kiara, Kronii, Ina, Laplus, Chloe, Marine, and Pekora; they really look fantastical," Gura said.

"Fantastical?" Ina questioned

"What? I used that word correctly!" Gura yelled

"I'm shocked you are smart enough to know that word," Ina said.

"Damn, that was harsh," Sana laughed.

"Okay, but more about this timeline and universe. What is going on here? Why are there only those eight?" I asked

"Huh..." Gura questioned

"Usually it opens a portal to where all of us are since that's what I want it to do, but only Ina and Kiara are here," I said.

"Maybe it's a mistake," Ina said while trying to lift the button.

"Doesn't Mumei from this universe give off a weird vibe?" I asked

"Not really. Meimei always has that dark aura and ominous feeling," Sana said.

She was right, but it still felt weird to me. Not that we really have to worry since it's an alternate timeline; they can't hear us or see the portal since I made it one way.

"She seems like she wants to kill all seven of them." I said

"Meimei wouldn't harm any of them," Sana said.

"Well, it's another timeline; she could be a genocidal maniac," I claimed.

"Maybe," Gura said.

"I'm just saying Mumei is a little unhinged; she could kill anyone," I said.

"Meimei is a sweetheart," Sana said.

All of us looked at one another for some reason, and then we immediately tried to get the button unstuck once again. I tried to yank it up, and it went up, and the portal immediately closed.

"Okay, don't press it down again," Gura said.

I nodded, put the pocket watch down, and stepped away from it, noticing that the button pushed itself down on its own.

"What the hell!?" I yelled

A portal opened, and I grabbed the pocketwatch up, trying to pry the button up, but yet again it wouldn't move. Why does this keep happening?

"Get away from the portal!" Ina yelled before pulling us away.

"What happened!?" Gura asked

"I don't know," I said.

I began to feel my eyes water, but I knew that it was blood coming out of my eyes again. I dropped the pocketwatch to stop the strain, and Ina grabbed it with a tentacle. She put Gura and me as far away as possible from the portal.

A knife shot through the portal and immediately lodged itself into my stomach. "H-huh?" I questioned as the portal closed; this definitely was a coordinated attack.

"Amelia!!!" Gura yelled

"I'm fine..." I growled

"No, you aren't; you are bleeding from your eyes, nose, mouth, and stomach!" Gura said

I felt myself get dizzy from the blood loss, and then I slowly began to pass out. This isn't good; maybe I should stop messing with time. Before I passed out, I saw one last portal open.
