chapter 104

I smile, watching her as she tries to catch her breath after I roll off of her. I kiss her cheek.

I groan as my phone rings. "What mom?" I sigh, answering it. "Can you please watch amy? For a couple of hours? Everyone else is really busy and I need to go out" she asks.

"Fine, send her over" I say. "Thank you baby, you're the best" she says. I smile. I put the phone down.

"We're watching ames for a bit" I say. I smile as I see that she's falling asleep.

"My love" I whisper, putting my hand on her chest and leaning down to her. "Mhm" she opens her eyes slowly. "Nothing, it doesn't matter.. go to sleep" I whisper. She closes her eyes again.

"I love you" I say. "I love you" she mumbles, turning over to cuddle into her pillow. I smile, getting out of bed. I put some pyjamas on and go downstairs.

I open the front door after hearing a knock. "Hey" I smile, picking amelia up. "Hi dewek" she hugs me.

"Thanks again derek" my mom says. "Its fine mom" I smile. "I couldn't get anyone else to watch her and I can't cancel on my friends again.. they're really mad at me" she says.

"Its fine" I hug her with my spare arm. I love my mom more than anyone. She's the best mom ever. She'd do anything for her kids. She sacrifices her own spare time for us all the time. I like paying her back by looking after amelia sometimes.

"I'll be back here soon" she says. "Okay, have fun" I say. She smiles. "Bye baby" she kisses amelias head before leaving.

"Where mommy go?" She frowns. "She's going out.. you're staying with me for a bit" I say, going to sit on the couch with her on my lap. "Okay" she says.

"You tired?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Where mer?" She asks. "Asleep in bed" I say. She sighs.

"Derek? Why'd you leave?" Meredith walks in. "Amy's here" I say. "Oh, hi sweetie" she smiles at her. "Mewedith!" She climbs off of my lap and runs over to her.

She picks her up. She's only wearing one of my shirts and I hope a pair of panties underneath.

"You okay mer?" I walk over to her as I see how pale she looks. She nods. I take amelia and put her down.

"Are you sure baby?" I hug her. She nods. "I'm just really tired" she says. "Go back to bed" I say. "Not without you" she says. I sigh.

"Sit down then at least" I say. She sits on the couch. I pull a blanket over her.

"Ames come here" I say as she wonders around the kitchen. "No!" She runs away. "Hey" I chase after her. She giggles as I pick her up. "Cheeky" I say.

I sit her on the couch and I sit between her and meredith. She hugs my waist, resting her head on my shoulder. Amelia climbs onto my lap, hugging me too.

"Both my favourite girls" I tickle amelias stomach, making her giggle. "Mer" I say. She pulls away to look at me.

I look into her eyes. "You okay?" I ask. "Yeah, I feel better.. I think you just wore me out a bit" she giggles, kissing me softly. "You scared me for a minute" I say. She smiles small. "I'm okay" she giggles quietly.

"I love you" she says. "I love you too" I say. "I wove dewek too" amelia says. "I love you too" I hug her from behind, kissing her head.

"I wove mewedith" she says. "I love you, cutie pie" meredith kisses her cheek. She giggles.

"Dewek" she says. "Yeah?" I ask. "I want mommy" she says. "Mommy will be back soon" I say. "I miss mommy now" she says. "I know" I say. I hug her again.

"Dewek" she says. "Yeah?" I sigh. "Where daddy?" She asks. "No idea.. work I think" I say. "Oh" she says. "I miss daddy" she says.

"Dewek" she says. I ignore her. "Dewek" she says again. I keep ignoring her. She looks up at me.

"Dewek" she says. "Amelia, you're annoying me" I say. She pouts, crossing her arms over her chest. "I tell mommy on you" she says.

"I'll tell her first that you were naughty.. she'll believe me over you" I say. "No.. mer tell her you lie" she says. "Meredith is my girlfriend.. she's on my side" I say.

"No.. mer?" She looks at meredith. She's asleep. "My meredith.. not yours" I whisper, kissing merediths head. She glares at me. I grin.

"I hate my bwother dewek" she walks away. I chuckle. "Amy come back" I say. She walks back over slowly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it" I hold my arms open. She runs and hugs me.

I lift her back onto my lap. "I love you" I say. "I wove you also" she says. I smile.

She is annoying. But I love her. I'd die for my baby sister. She means so much to me. I'm mean to her a lot, but I never mean it. If anything happened to her I would lose my mind.

I kiss her head. "You wanna come back over here tomorrow to hang out with me and meredith after school?" I ask. She nods.

I pick her up like she's a baby in my arms. She giggles. I grin at her. I tickle her stomach. She giggles more.

I lay her on the couch next to me. "Sleep" I pull a blanket over her. She glares at me. I grin. "Please try and sleep for a bit" I say. She closes her eyes. I smile.

"Amy" I say about fifteen minutes later. I let out a breath as I realise she's asleep.

Meredith slowly sits up. "You alright?" I ask. She nods. "Amy's asleep" I whisper. She smiles, looking at her.

"When can we have a baby?" She hugs my waist. "Never" I say. She looks at me. "Joking.. but not now" I say. She giggles. "No, not now" she grins.

"We can practice as soon as amelia leaves though" I smirk. She giggles, kissing me. My mom picks her up a little while later and me and meredith go back upstairs.
