chapter 18

I go to the principals office. "Hi carolyn" I say as I see her sat next to derek, opposite the principal.

"Hi meredith, what happened?" She asks. "Sir I have this.. I just saw masie's mom out there.. she wants to talk to you" I say. "Oh" he gets up, leaving.

"Why don't you ask him?" I look at him. "What did you do?" She asks. "Nothing" he says. I stand on his foot. "Ow!" He says.

"I called her a bitch" he says. "What?" She asks shocked. "She was being a bitch!" He says. "Derek Christopher shepherd" she says.

She stomps her foot on his. "Ow!" He says. "What happened?" She asks. "I asked him to do his homework and he didn't, so I gave him a detention" I say.

"Derek, I know you like meredith, but she's your teacher.. in school, you need to listen to her" she says. "Fine.. I'm sorry" he says. "Don't apologise to me" she says.

"I'm going home.. go back to class" she kisses his head before leaving. He stands up. "I'm sorry.. miss Grey" he says.

"Get to your next class" I say. We both leave. I go back to my classroom and he goes to cristina's.

After school I see him outside talking to Addison. I walk over to them. "Hi addison" I smile. "Hi miss grey" she says. "Derek, you're supposed to be in detention" I say.

"I have more important things to do" he says. I look down at his hand on the small of Addisons back. "You're going to get suspended if you keep this up" I say. "Its worth it" he smiles at her. She smiles. I take a deep breath.

I walk away. I roll my eyes, getting into my car. I drive home. I go upstairs and watch TV for a bit.

Derek's pov:
I go home and shower before getting ready for my date with addison. Once I'm ready I leave. I stop as I see Mr Dandridge outside merediths house. He knocks on her door.

My breath catches in my throat as she walks out in a tight black dress. I sigh quietly as she hugs him and he kisses her cheek.

They go to his car and they get in. He doesn't even open her door for her. I roll my eyes, getting into my cab. The driver goes to addisons house.

I knock on the door. She opens it. "Hi" she smiles. "Hey, you look beautiful" I kiss her cheek. "Thankyou" she smiles, blushing slightly.

"You ready?" I ask. "Yep, where we going?" She follows after me to the cab. It starts driving.

"Just to the park.. is that okay? I'm sorry, I don't have any money.. but I brought stuff for a picnic?" I show her. "No, thats perfect" she smiles.

For the rest of the car ride, my mind wanders to what meredith is doing right now. Is he kissing her? Is it going bad?.. is he feeling her up in the car ride there? The car stops. I pay and we get out.

"No!" She giggles as I throw a piece of popcorn at her face. "I wasn't ready.. I wasn't ready, do it again" she giggles. I throw another piece. "Yes!" I laugh as she catches it in her mouth. She grins, eating it.

"You didn't have to walk me all the way to my door" I chuckle. "Well, you paid for the cab there.. its only fair I pay for the way back" she giggles.

I turn around. "You don't want to come in for a drink?" I ask. "I should get home" she smiles. "I'll see you tomorrow then" I say. "Bye" she says.

I freeze as she kisses me. I put my hands on her waist, kissing her back. We pull away slowly. She walks to the cab, getting in. It drives away.

I go to walk inside but stop. My heart drops as I see meredith pressed up against the front door of her house, finn infront of her, whispering something in her ear. She giggles.

She puts her hands on his chest. He steps back. She says something to him and he waves at her before getting in his car.

Her smile fades as she sees me. We look at eachother. We both go inside our houses. I go upstairs to my room, getting ready for bed.
