"Jade, I need a favour."

"Go on." Jade prompted.

"I need you to run payments for something through your company." Jorah told him.Jade raised an eyebrow, waiting for more details.

Jorah took a deep breath. He'd known it wouldn't be as easy as asking Jade to do something. While he was sure Jade wouldn't say no, he was also sure that Jade wouldn't just agree without knowing the backstory.

Getting him involved in this matter was also something serious to consider.

He was not one to get involved with others like this. If he dared to get involved with Nine's brother, no doubt Jade would become curious about his reasons. Sure, he could try to give him the same reason he'd given Nine last night but Jade was the type to dig deep and look beneath the surface, something he wasn't quite sure he was ready to do.

He wasn't sure himself why more and more lately, where Nine was concerned, he was doing and willing to do things that were out of the norm for him.

"Well?" Jade appeared to be losing his patience.

Fuck it. Jorah made up his mind. He would just do it.

"There's a patient in Inova Care by the name of Choi Kim. Lately there have been some issues on his account. Non payment and such. I need you to find out how much the monthly cost of his care is and pay the amounts owed on the account. After that is done, take over the financing. You can do that can't you?"

"Well sure I can." Jade agreed. "That's easy." He looked at Jorah "But who is this person? How are they involved with you?"

Jorah took another deep breath. "It's Nine's brother."

Jade blinked. "Wait. what?"

"It's a long story." Jorah told his friend.

"Well, fortunately for you," Jade smiled "I have time."

"Mm." Jorah nodded. It was to be expected.

Jorah quickly explained the inconsistencies he discovered in the information he'd been sent the evening prior. The payments for Nine's brother had indeed been irregular and inconsistent for months, with the last payment made six months ago.

"So what you're saying is his Manager fleeced him?" Jade questioned

"Seems like it." Jorah frowned

"Oh no. Poor Nine." Jade sighed. "How did he take it?"

"He doesn't know." Jorah replied

"Well aren't you going to tell him?"

"No." Jorah replied

"Why?" Jade frowned "He needs to know how much of a snake his manager is."

"I'll tell him." Jorah replied "But not now." When he saw how confused Jade still looked, Jorah explained about the relationship between Nine and his Manager as well as the way he'd become during the interview when the news hadn't even been confirmed. "If I tell him now, he'll be devastated. We're still in the middle of shooting."

"I understand." Jade nodded. "So he'll just get away with it?"

"Who said he will?"

"What are you going to do?" Jade probed

"Don't worry about it." Jorah smirked

A smile blossomed on Jade's lips.

"What?" Jorah raised a brow.

"Nothing. I just never imagined you would care about him this much."

"I don't care about him." Jorah snapped. "Just do what I've asked you to do."
