Jorah's footstep echoed in his ears with every step forward, taking him to the end

Finally, this wretched experience was about to be over. Norris and Gage had shot their final scenes yesterday; now it was just him and Nine."

His feelings now were surprisingly similar to the ones he felt on the first day he walked on set, although for a different reason. That first day had been filled with dread. He'd wanted to be anywhere but there. Now, as he stood on the threshold, about to exit, dread had returned.

For the last 3 months he'd worked nonstop on this series. Long days. Long nights. Extra classes. Special projects. All of it would crescendo today.

On set, everyone moved diligently to get things into place. They all shared the same thought—after today, it would be done. These people had bonded over time, shared meals, and now they would each go their separate ways

Since their return from the island, time seemed to have broken into a sprint. Day and night they worked to shoot the remainder of their scenes to ensure that they finished in the allotted time.

Nine had been busy putting things together for his return to music and tour while wrapping up the shoots. As for himself, Jorah had been working with Tanner going over prospective projects after this one wrapped.

A few days after their return from the island, Jorah returned to his place full time. Using the series' end as an excuse, he made his case that the intended purpose for cohabitation had been fulfilled.

Neither Nine nor the facilitator objected which made it easier to do since Jorah had already made up his mind to leave regardless. With them no longer living together, Jorah and Nine only saw each other on set and their relationship returned to normal.

To keep the illusion of the ship and public interest going. They did a few lives together and left flirty emojis under each other's posts. That was sufficient.

"Ok." The Director called everyone together. "This is it people, the final shot. I know you all might be feeling a wide range of emotions so let's just get this done quickly. Not too many takes so we can all let reality sink in."

Everyone nodded. Shortly after this speech, the first shots were called up.

Nine and Jorah walked towards each other. They met in the middle of the set.

The shot was marked.

Scene 30/1. Shot 1. Take 1."

Nine looked into Jorah's eyes.

"You can't tell me you don't feel the same thing I feel." It was the same scene from the very first day they met. Just like then, Nine closed the gap between them.

Jorah's heart was pounding. So much had happened since then. "I–.I don't!"

Nine's eyes never left Jorah's face as he reached out to tenderly caress his cheek. Back then he'd shaken his hair loose.

Jorah closed his eyes when he felt that tender caress. The hand that was on his cheek, moved to tenderly crane Jorah's neck in his hand. His thumb caressed his chin and gently traced up to the side of his lips.

Jorah gulped and his eyes dipped.

"Look at me." Nine's voice was barely a whisper.

When Jorah didn't look, Nine tilted his chin upwards so their gazes would meet once more. "You're lying."
