"Ok Everyone , quiet on the set!" The staff announced. A hush fell over the room. The shot was marked and the camera began to roll. On cue, Nine walked into the frame.
Jorah sniffled and bit the inside of his lip, crossing one leg over the other as his hot gaze fell on Nine.
Maintaining his cool exterior as the Creative Director for Seren Tech, Jorah watched attentively as Nine delivered his line flawlessly before being joined in frame by his co-ambassador.
When he laid eyes on Liam, Jorah sighed. His fucking father had really gone and done it. There was not much he could do about it safely and painlessly. Liam's contract had already been signed before he officially became part of this project. He could fire him, but that would result in a legal headache, being sued for breach of contract, and so on. He'd assessed the situation; he wasn't sure Liam would have taken a payout to leave anyway. Not wanting to disrupt Zhuzhi's first project too much, he decided to let things play out--within reason.
Though he had no intention to fire Liam, he was certainly going to pay extra careful attention to him while on set. If he dared to even ruffle a strand of hair on his boyfriend's head, consequences be damned, he would not let it go.
The cameras were still rolling. Nine was standing at the counter when Liam approached and touched his waist. He leaned forward in his chair as Nine turned his head to look at Liam.
Their faces were less than an inch apart as Nine smiled at Liam.
"The fuck." Jorah frowned at the miniscule space between the two "Cut!" he yelled, startling everyone on set.
Scowling, Jorah strode over to the set. Nine looked at him questioningly. The Director whipped around in fury, to identify the person who'd interrupted his shoot. He heaved a sigh when his eyes fell on Jorah.
"Is something wrong?" The Director asked.
Jorah's frown deepened. "Of course something's wrong." he replied "What the hell were you doing?" Everyone looked at him in confusion. "What are you shooting here? Is this a romance drama? Why are these two looking at each other with stars in their eyes?"
Nine's bottom lip pulled in slightly. All eyes were on them now that Jorah had disrupted the shoot.
The Director looked at him. "I thought it would be a good idea to tap into the chemistry between these two."
At those words, Nine's eyes flitted to Jorah's face. As expected, Jorah's expression became thunderous. "Oh no." he groaned inwardly.
"Chemistry between these two?" Jorah sighed and stuck both hands in his pockets. "So your plan to sell these products is to...tap into the 'chemistry' between these two?"
The Director nodded. "A part of it .Yes. I've seen them together. I know what they can do." He looked at Nine and Liam "Do you know that the last product they endorsed sold out within minutes of it's release?
As Jorah appraised Nine and Liam the tension on set mounted.
Nine sighed inwardly. He wished the Director would just shut up. He wasn't making things any better.
Jorah stepped on to the platform where Nine and Liam stood. "So you're saying you think our products need romance to be sold?" Jorah raised a brow as he looked at the Director. The man didn't answer "No. Seriously." Jorah picked up one of the items. "Because if you think they do...then..they do."
Jorah's sarcasm was making the scene even more awkward. How was someone supposed to answer when he was clearly being sarcastic?
"Everyone take 15!" The Director bulstered. He looked at Jorah. " I'll see what I can do."
