"Let's be honest" Jay says in the morning.

"I think I've proved my ability and can now have a fry up" he laughs. Im holding the iPad, choosing his final meal.

Ross and Matty left earlier, after Jay got the all clear.

"One fry up then" I smile at him from the end of the bed.

"Taylor" he says after a pause.

"Jay" I reply walking over to his side.

He grasps my hand, the one with our tattoos on, his initials and my ring.

"Do you remember when we first were together. We were at the lake house" he begins and he smiles irresistibly.

"You asked me why I hadn't shown anybody else the lake house and I told you all about my dad. How when I was little he advised me to never show anybody all of my inherited wealth until I knew they were my other half. I told you that you were my other half" he smiles and I lean into him just slightly sitting on the side of the bed.

"I am telling you that seeing that bottle on a collision course with you. Made me so fucking nervous, and I know it's only a bottle. Be it a bottle, or something worse, I will protect you with my life. I promise you I would have died for you in that second" he says seriously.

I stroke his face. Looking into the icy blue eyes that im making a future with, the ones that take me to heaven whenever I look into them.

"Jay I'm just going to say that we better not get into anymore altercations, because I would protect you with my life too. And if we both do that, we'll both end up dead" I laugh.

"Talking of your dad. He called" I say.

"He thought I was fighting" he says slight smile to his lips.

"I explained the situation and he laughed and told me to tell you he's proud of you and your big head" I smile.

He full on laughs.

"I assume he offered to take over with the police" he says.

"He did. But Jay, I have to tell you the first thing he asked was whether the baby was okay, he's gonna be one hell of a protective grandparent"I say.

"I suppose I am much like my dad, I come across as a monster, unintentionally. But I just care too much" he laughs.

"Mmm you can be my monster forever" I laugh.

He kisses me softly.

"I cannot wait to be at home in bed with you" he says and I smile.

"I literally dreamt about our bed last night I miss it so much" I say. I recover my expression remembering what I also dreamt about twice last night. This is a phase I tell myself, Ross is beautiful and he is my best friend. Nothing more.

"Just the bed?" He smiles.

"Mmm no" I say lustfully.

He leans in and kisses me.

Once we've finally detangled ourselves from one another. Jay stands stretching out and I resist the urge to cling to him, aiming to give him some personal space.

He chucks on a shirt which Matty packed for him and some jeans.

"Matty brought our clothes" I say watching him.

He grabs his phone and sends him a message instantly.

"I was worried" I say softly.

He turns to face me, his arms scooping me up instantly. I cry and he wipes my eyes.

"When you fell and wouldn't wake up, I thought I'd lost you" I say crying.

"I'm here, I'm sorry I just couldn't let anything happen to you" he says softly.

"I love you, you're my other half and if I was without you..." I say.

"Shhhh" he smiles an irresistible grin.

He kisses me.

"We could pop by the maternity section and check in on everything" he smiles.

"Maybe hear a heartbeat" he smiles.

I smile with him wiping my eyes. He grabs all of the bags, all of them. And we leave the hospital room hopefully not to return after anymore fights.

"Look at you getting into scraps for me" I laugh.

"It wouldn't be the first time would it" he laughs.

I put my hand in his free hand and we walk through the hospital to the maternity section. We haven't an appointment, but this is Jay. He can charm just about anybody into getting what he wants.

"Hey, Angela" he says to the receptionist when we reach maternity. She's an older woman, around fifty.

"Jay, my darling. You have grown" she smiles.

He just gives her his best grin.

"Wow and this is your fiancée" she smiles looking at my rings. I smile back sweetly, queen of innocence.

"Yes Taylor, is expecting" he replies swooning.

"Congratulations" she says absolutely enthralled.

"Look I know we haven't booked, and if it's a hassle it's no problem at all but I don't suppose we could just get a little check, you know to ease her mind" he says smiling at me. I nod at Angela.

"Why of course dear" she says. She taps on her phone and gets through straight away.

"Yes, Forester it's Jay. I don't suppose you could do a checkup" she enquirers and then smiles placing the phone down.

"Make sure you show me the scans" she says.

Jay smiles at her.

"Of course I will" he replies giving her his best grin.

Within minutes DR Forester is at our side, and escorting us into the same checkup room as before. He greets Jay with a big smile.

Jay is everybody's favourite it seems.
