"Taylor" he whispers. I can feel his breath, I can see his lips moving and I'm just marvelling at his beauty.
"Jay" I say softly unable to part my eyes from his lips.
"He said something" he utters watching me, we're in the water. After we drove home, we ate and then Jay decided it would be a good idea to have a swim. So we're here together in the lake, all people are far away from us and it's dark but that's okay because he is here with me.
I gaze into his eyes, although it is dark I can tell that he is conflicted. His usual relaxed expression has been replaced by an intense contemplative stare.
I look into the inky water and wait for him to finish. It's surely about Joshua Morelli. What did he say?He bends his head to mine and catches his lips in my own. I can only hear the water swishing around us and feel his mouth crushing into mine. He pulls at my bikini bottoms snapping them off quickly and with urgency. I wrap my legs around him. He's inside of me so fast that I gasp.
"You're mine" he whispers and I quiver.
"Not Matthews, not Joshua's and not Ross'" he whispers thrusting.
"I'm all yours Jay" I say my wet hands hanging onto his broad shoulders. He kisses me urgently and continues thrusting into me his hands holding me up in the water.
"I love you" he half growls as he reaches his climax. We're silent. Catching our breath back as I wait for him to elaborate on his conversation with Joshua. He strokes my hair back and kisses my forehead.
"He said that no matter if I married you. You would always belong to everybody else" he whispers and I gasp.
"Because everybody is in love with you" he says and he runs his hands through his shiny wet hair.
Instinctively I kiss him. My hands touching his soft wet hair and feeling my way through it down his back.
"That's a very stupid thing for him to say, what is it to him anyways" I say defensively.
"I love you. You know that and that is all that counts" I clarify intertwining my fingers with his.
He smiles and kisses me.
"I love you too" he whispers.Taking my hand we walk back through the water towards the lake house. It's lit up in the distance and I begin to want our warm bed.
"Taylor" Jay says looking ahead.
His mind really is in many different places tonight. Contemplative and always thinking things through. I stare up at him and finally he glances down at me. We're wading through the shallows.
"The lake house? Are you happy here?" He asks quietly.
"Of course" I say immediately and I realise what he's thinking about.
Jays dad had mentioned upsizing this house for another one."Are you considering your fathers offer?" I ask quietly.
"I'm considering you" he replies softly
"For the first time in my life I'm considering somebody else and not my own wants. I'm considering what you want instead, not me. You make me happy and I need to make sure that you are happy with any decisions we make together" he says.
We check the boats on the way back into the house. And walk our wet feet all over the deck leaving footprints as we go. He wraps me in a towel.
"I snooped" he whispers.
"When we were at my parents, I went into my dads office and drank his brandy and checked out his desk and all of the documents on it" he admits.
