"This pale blue really suits you Rachel" I smile eyeing her in the mirror. I've picked a gown that trails to the floor with a deep v neck.
"Rach" I say whilst the attendant has left us alone to try on.
"I'm pregnant" I smile.
"Holy fuck" she gasps coming over to me in the gown and hugging me.
"How far along are you. Jheez you have to stop making me cry for one day" she laughs.
"Me and Jay are over 10 weeks, we've already ordered the pram and the cot and stuff" I laugh.
"I hadn't told you because" I stop short and sit down. I never told her about my miscarriage."When I was with Matty before, we conceived a child; and I miscarried. It's one of the reasons we ended things. It was painful, Matty was wonderful but I was so mad and angry. I had to have the baby removed. And I haven't told anybody because of that" I say and she puts her arms around me.
"Im so sorry. You went through that, you can always talk to me. It makes sense to me now, the way Matty is." She says looking up.
"Yeah so Matty guessed I was pregnant again and so did Ross by the way" I say.
"Wow I had no clue" she sighs.
"Love you Tay if you ever need help I'm here" she smiles.
"Love you Rach" I say.
"So Jay is gonna be a daddy" she laughs lightening the mood and making me smile.
"He's such a daddy already" I sigh.
"He researched cots and safety standards for hours on Sunday" I say laughing.
"He's got everything planned out" she smiles.
"I'm happy for you both" she smiles.
"No more heavy let's try on wedding gowns. Before I cannot fit into them any longer" I say laughing.
Together we find the perfect gown. Rachel comments that it has just the right amount of sexy, yet it's still elegant and beautiful. Basically she says it's the epitome of me.
I step into it in the changing room. It's luxurious, in satin silk in a pale ivory. Draped all the way to the floor, in a figure hugging cut. The bodice around the top shows the right amount of cleavage. It's completely sleeveless and draped low at the back. I smile looking into the mirror. It's simply stunning and I'm already sold.
I step out into the main mirrored walls. Rachel gasps and I take that as a good sign.
"It's the most perfect wedding dress" she sighs.
"Taylor you must" she says almost crying.
"I think it's the one" I say.
"I think so" she smiles.
"I think with this dress, hair up and half down curls a tiara and dangly diamonds" she smiles.
"A tiara!!" I laugh.
"Let's look, I'm sure Jay will not begrudge you a tiara" she smiles.
Of course we find a tiara that matches the dress. We get fancy zipper bags and the gowns are hung not folded up. I pay with Jays card as he instructed me too, trying not to think too much about how I just spent nearly three grand.
"There's only one thing to do after that" I say as we leave the shop.
"Eat pizza" I smile.
"Yes, this is the best afternoon" she laughs.
We head to the Italian and order two huge pizzas.
"Boy or girl" she smiles eating a slice of her mushroom pizza.
