Waking up with Jay is like nothing else. We were sprawled out on our king sized four poster bed. His arms draped across my waist. He must have kissed me a thousand times before we made love and then he carried me to our walk in shower.

Now I'm standing in the wardrobe deciding what to wear to see his parents. I've not popped yet, so they will be shocked to hear that I'm pregnant. It's warm today so I opt for a summers dress. I don't want anything too short. I pick out a white dress that looks both cute and cool enough to sit in the sun. After slipping it on, I grab my phone and just as I grasp it, it vibrates with a notification. Unlocking it I see another message from Ross, he's texted me daily, sometimes five or six times.

I open today's first message. Sit down on the plush chair it's always a long read. Todays one details how much he wants me, how he in fact needs me and goes a little bit into our history. Today it's about when we were sitting on the countertop in his kitchen and he taught me how to roll. I smile and type back.

Did we kiss then, a lot? I send over to him.

He replies straight away.

We did... and if we didn't we should have. He replies.

I laugh ready to put my phone away. It buzzes again.

I wanna kiss you now. I read it and I can't help it but I smile.

No Ross. Don't be silly. I reply back and place my phone down. I'm leaving it behind today. No reading any texts from anybody.

I slip on my sliders and head through to the bedroom, out of the double doors and down the stairs. Smelling food I smile to myself. I'm going through a phase of wanting cooked breakfasts and it's safe to say Jay is enjoying it. I make him a coffee and he smiles. Half his hair is pulled up in a knot and he's wearing a casual black shirt. I admire his arms, mainly his biceps popping out of it. And before I drool I take his coffee over to him. He turns from the pan.

"You look stunning" he says eyeing me up.

"You look perfect too Jay" I smile.

"I think I ought to get all of the gawking over before my mum arrives and scorns me" he laughs stroking my thigh.

"Me too" I laugh stroking his arm. The bacon hisses and breaks our embrace.

I grab the plates and he serves up. We have breakfast together and I notice he eyes me the whole time. Making sure he pays attention to all of me.

We wash up together, him playfully moving around our kitchen, we laugh together. I splash him with water and he grabs ahold of me smiling.

"Aw you wanna play it like that" he says softly.

Holding me from behind.

"You're lucky, I will not splash you. You look like you made a lot of effort with your dress. But I can do other things" he laughs and tickles me.

I giggle and he kisses my neck.

"You okay" he whispers.

"Yes baby are you" I say back.

"I'm so happy" he whispers softly.

"I'm so happy too" I chuckle. I turn around and he embraces me. This affectionate side; he's never shown anybody else and I value the fact that I unlocked it for him. It's my very own, only I get this side to Jay.

I kiss his lips softly and he watches me.

"The Bbq is bomb Taylor" he smiles and I get to see that spark in his eyes. Sparkling with excitement.

"I'm beginning to think you're in love with the bbq" I laugh and tease him.

"Well, Taylor this has been fun" he teases back gesturing his hands.

"Let's have a look at it" I laugh.

He takes my hand and we walk out of the bifolding doors.
We have a top terrace where all of our patio furniture is, including the new bbq. Winding stairs complete with trailing vines and potted plants lead down to the pool and surrounding gardens.

"It's like its own kitchen" I say taking in the bbq. A grill with silver cupboards underneath, space for plating up food to the sides. It takes up half of the wall.

"It's great isn't it" he says a smile on his lips.

"It will make us loads of amazing food" he smiles.

"You are being cute" I smile hugging him.

"Well you're always cute" he says softly.

"Chef Jay what are we having?" I say teasing.

"Sausages, ribs, burgers, corn, how about the whole lot" he smiles.

"I'll make a salad and coleslaw" I smile.

I head into the kitchen and prep, he lounges on one of the stools watching me. I start on the coleslaw shredding the cabbage and grating the carrot.

"How did you learn to make all different types of food" he says and I smile.

"It's just coleslaw Jay" I laugh.

"No but I mean everything you do tastes great" he says.

"Because I like making it, put effort in and know what I'm doing" I smile.

"Mumma taught me" I laugh.

"We really need to sort out your parents coming over" he says and I shrink. He notices my body language.

"Not together" I say softly. My dad left my mum, and me when I was five. He just disappeared, no trace. Recently he has attempted to contact me, I still haven't replied.

"On your terms and in your own time" he says.

I face away from him and start preparing the salad, I'm also going to do garlic stuffed tomatoes and olives. Perhaps a selection of antipasti and meats.

"I've not had this before Jay. A family unit, surrounded by both parents. It's new to me; in some ways I'm still processing how different my childhood was to yours" I say softly. As I finish I feel his hands around my waist.

"I understand" he whispers.

"You are my family" he smiles.

"I know" I smile.

I continue to chop up the salad, just as he's kissing my neck the intercom sounds and he buzzes the gate for his mum and dad.
