I have been on Jay all night. Literally sitting on him. His hands all over my hips and thighs, occasionally kissing me. We've been taking trips down memory lane to when him and Matty were friends in their younger days. Rachel couldn't stand anymore and suggested everyone take a swim, I found their stories fascinating however. I love hearing about a time when Jay was young, their fishing trips and camping. That kind of stuff. Ross came into their friendship group much later, when they were young adults.

Unable to stand constant chatting when it doesn't concern her, Rachel rallied them to the pool and Matty and Jay are humouring her.

I'm lying on the sofa again, baby is making me tired. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the wedding. Nate and Ross are steadily progressing through a bottle of whiskey. Ross still has his paperback and he's folded over the page as Nate is busy talking.

I can tell that he's itching to read again and I look at him and smile. He chuckles and stands up with his whiskey and his book.

Nate stands and stumbles and Ross steadies him laughing. His strong chest and abs holding onto him.

"Let's get you up to bed" he says laughing placing his book down.

"Yeah man you're a good buddy Ross" Nate laughs.

"Mhmmm" Ross smiles.

"Man you really built up some muscle too" Nate laughs. Ross chortles.

"Are you chatting me up, Nate" he laughs.

Nate laughs and nearly falls again. Ross disappears with him taking him up to his room. I settle into the sofa and before I know it Ross is back. We should not be alone together, if anything our shopping antics have taught me that. I like to think we can just chill together though surely?

He sits down next to me on the sofa.

"Here" he says and he undoes the clasp on my heels. Taking them off one by one, his hands massaging and rubbing my legs and ankles. He sighs slightly and I look up at him.

"What are you reading?" I ask him.

"Persuasion, Austen" he says and I nod.

"Can you read it to me" I ask him sitting up.

"I mean I've read it but" I smile.

"Please" I smile.

He laughs looking at me, and begins reading. I lay with my head in his lap. I'm familiar with the story but hearing him read it is special. He puts a different inflection or tone on everything. And I see the characters from his perspective.
I look up at him as he reads and occasionally his eyes meet mine, getting lost staring into mine before he continues.

He rests the book on my hips whilst he's reading his free hand occasionally stroking my hair. At the end of the chapter he pauses.

"More" he asks softly.

"More" I say closing my eyes and listening to him.

He reads and I zone out listening to his voice. I feel myself falling asleep but he keeps going. I rub my waist and then curl up facing him.

I hear chattering and I squeeze my eyes shut. Open them again seeing Ross' chest. It's not the first time I've slept on him by any means.

I sit up slowly, pushing my hair back away from my face.

"Hey" I laugh looking at everybody. Rachel laughs at me and I smile.

"So tired" I say. I pull my dress down slightly as it's moved up.

Jay eyes me and his fight or flight is high. He's watching me stretch and I can see the affection in his eyes but the protectiveness over me is evident all over his face. And in the way he moves up to me and caresses bump.
