Jays hands haven't left my hip bones. I'm sitting on top of this stool and my hormones are raging. I'm currently imagining him paying my body a whole lot more of attention, I've almost pulled him into the bathroom twice.

Matty is still next to us trying desperately not to look at Jays hands protectively stroking me. I can tell now that I'm sober just how drunk everybody is getting around me. Apart from Jay, he's very much happy yet completely aware of everything going on around him. He's eyed me twice in the last five minutes, making sure that I'm okay.

His eyes find mine again and I pull his face to mine cutting off his conversation with Matty. I kiss his lips passionately and he sighs. I feel his hands grip onto my hips. He pulls away lightly and I yearn for him.

"I think we should all dance" he says staring into my eyes.

I run my hands up Jays back and into his hair.

"It is prom" I say softly maintaining his stare.

"You two" Rachel sashays over to us drunkenly. I notice how Jays body is completely shielding me and bump from anyone and anything. I keep staring at him, his eyes don't leave me even for a second.

"Hello earth to Taylor" she says.

"Mmm" I say watching him, the heat behind his eyes but also the care and protection.

"Let us go enjoy prom" she says imitating a posh accent.

I break the stare to look at her. Ross is behind her without his date. I look behind him and see her intertwined with Joshua Morelli. Classy. I sigh. My rage boils up. And I almost leave Jay to go and tell her exactly what I think of her.

"It's totally fine" Ross laughs.

"Don't worry about it Taylor" Ross says.

Jay holds onto me.

"What a slag" Rachel says.

"Excuse me" Kat says looking over her shoulder pulling her lips from him for a second.

"It's all good, guys" Ross says attempting to diffuse the situation. And here we are, I think, drama number one of the evening.

"It is not all good" I say defiantly surprising myself.

"That's rich" she says eyeing me.

"Have you got something to say to me Kat" I almost shout at her.

"I have actually" she spouts back.

"You're a bitch and you're stringing along three guys at once so don't talk to me about being a slag" she says venom behind her words.

"It's not worth it" Jay whispers.

"Okay" I say.

"Okay I let you into my home, I feed you dinner, let you get drunk off of my alcohol. And you think you can talk to me like that. Ross is my best friend he doesn't deserve to be used either by the way" I say seething.

"You're..." she begins but I cut her off.

"I'm what ? A bitch? What have I ever done but try to be nice to you ?" I say.

"You're a slut trying to be with three guys at once." She spits.

"Grow the fuck up" I say losing my shit.

"Stick to one man" she spouts back.

"Enough, that's your warning don't talk about my fiancée in that way" Jay says.

"Shit Kat just go be a stuck up bitch someplace else" Rachel says.

"Okay" Ross says, and I'm slightly surprised by the venom behind his words.

"I tried okay, to treat you nicely, to make you feel comfortable. I took you to my friends and they fed you. They were nice to you. It's common decency to just be nice back. You're unimaginable. You're acting like a spoilt brat. And I can take you kissing another douchebag no offence Josh even though I'm your date" Ross begins.

"None taken, man" Joshua says removing himself from her embrace.

"But do not talk to my friends or Taylor like that. In fact don't talk to us at all" Ross finishes.

We all look at him in disbelief, Ross is so easy going. He never rants. He doesn't get annoyed, he just moves on. The peacekeeper of our group.

"Ross" she says.

"You're so in love with her; you're blind to who she actually is" she begins.

"No. I thought I just said don't talk to us at all. I'm not interested in anything you have to say. You know nothing of Taylor. She's ten times the woman you could ever dream to be. She saved my fucking life when I almost died, she endangered her own life for me. So don't presume to know anything about her or me for that matter" he says.

I start crying, not really a chance of a pregnant me being able to remain dry eyed throughout that speech.

"I'm sorry, Taylor" Joshua says.

"I didn't want to cause any trouble" he repeats placing his hands up and removing himself from the situation.

I nod to him, appreciating his apology. Which to be fair he did not really need to give me. I notice Jay smile at him slightly too.

"Are we done here" Rachel says.

"Yeah I'm done" I say, I slide off of my stool and Jay steadies me.

We walk away from Kat and head to the dance floor. Drama number one safely behind us. I cross my fingers for no more fighting.

Jay strokes my hair back, pulls my hips in closer. And he leads my hips into a sway. I hold him close, his hands are on my lower back and mine are wrapped around his neck. He brushes my hair over my other shoulder.

"What do you want Taylor?" He whispers and kisses my neck.

"I want you" I gasp, he has to know how turned on I am.

He softly kisses my neck again, over and over. I lose sense of anything else. His hands on me, pulling me in. He spins me around to face the other direction, wraps his arms around my waist carefully. He slowly kisses my neck and I am putty in his hands.

"Taylor" he whispers.

"I'm not sharing, no way. But dancing is fine" he smiles glancing at Ross and Matty.

"Give Rachel a spin" I laugh.

"Not a chance, I'm getting a shot. And water for you" he says.

"Dance" he says kissing my lips.

"I'll be right back" he says.
