Taylor's POV
We docked into Tasmania, much to every bodies surprise. It's stunningly beautiful here, and before the cruise docks back to Australia I'm hugging my Mum and Dad.
"We're starting here" Jay told me earlier on whilst we were dancing on the beach. It's seriously impressive how one can hire a beach for a wedding, yet also escort the wedding party to an entirely new location across the ocean for a wedding party on a second beach. Jay is all about making dreams come true.
This particular setting has island vibes, with the palms and the sand. I ditched my stilettos the second I got off the boat. There's a licensed bar, a dance floor with a DJ. And you guessed it, enough tulips to render a world shortage.
"This is where we're beginning our honeymoon" he smiled and his eyes glowed in the honey sunlight.
"Here" I said, smiling as he pulled me into his arms.
"So I know how much you love lodges" he laughed.
"So I've booked us a mountain lodge." He smiled.
"Jay Gilbert Scott" I smiled back at him between kisses.
"You know your wife very very well" I said enjoying the adventure and excitement of it all.
Mum releases me from her arms, Jay standing next to me his arm around the small of my back. The music still resonating over the waves. Rachel is being escorted back onto the boat by Nate and I laugh watching.
"My darling, what are you going to wear" she says to me eyeing my wedding dress and bare feet.
"I've packed for her" Jay smiles and I glance at him, he's organised.
"It's all on the boat" he says and mum laughs.
"I love you" mum says to me.
"I love you mum" I tell her as my dad claps Jay on the back and pulls him in for a brief hug. Who knew my dad was so open to physical contact, I didn't? Things have changed in his very being, his attitude and his ability to be present in a situation. He's a much more stable, happy guy now. It's in this moment I look at him and thank him for the years he left. I always saw it as a betrayal, but it wasn't. I now have the father he was supposed to be.
"Thank you dad" I say to him welling up.
He pulls me into him. He knows what I'm thanking him for, I can feel it deep in my core. We are different too before, but our relationship is better. It's saved.
"I love you" he whispers and he hands me back to Jay.
"I have to say Jay, you are the most organised man I've ever met" mum laughs hugging him.
"Take care of my baby" she says and he smiles at her.
"Always" he replies. She kisses him briefly on the cheek.
Jay has pulled his hair back and his shirt is still open, we are on a beach to be fair. He looks model worthy in the evening sun. His tan glowing, I'm dying to have him and I don't even think I'll be able to wait for the lodge.
"I'll grab the luggage" he whispers in my ear watching Matty approach. His eyes flit up to him and then he leaves.
He walks my mum and dad back into the boat as I watch Matty approach, also with his shirt undone. I sigh thinking back to our conversation and the implications of it. He reaches me and for a bizarre, brief moment I think he's going to take me in his arms and kiss me.
