The palace's hallways were very quiet. As if no one lived around there.
The maids and workers were all back into their rooms as Ivor ordered.
Her rushing footsteps made it in front of the door she seeked and she immediately opened it and walked in.
"What are you doing here?"
Violet asked in anger.
Clair was gathering some herbs and potions into her small pouch.
"CLAIR, WE MUST GO BACK TO OUR ROOM"
Violet then shouted.
She looked back at her clearly worried friend and then replied,
"Violet, I know what the advisor said but I can not just hide in bed and try to sleep while I can stay here and make sure to help anyone who's injured, what if prince Louis is hurt again?"
Clair got up and walked towards her friend.
"I know you are worried and scared, I am too but this is the least I could do and I promise you I will be safe"
She then added.
Violet's eyes were getting teary before she held her tightly.
"Am sorry, let me stay too"
She whispered.
Clair smiled gently while hugging her back.
"Thank you"
She replied trying to comfort her friend.
Gathering around the palace, waiting quietly for the long awaited signal.
The team was starting to get anxious and Elmer did not know what to do.
"Louis is taking his sweet time there"
Ezra said.
Elmer's eyes were pointed at the dark sky, no sign of a green smoke, he could have never missed such an easy to catch signal.
'Why is it taking so long? did something go wrong?'
The first prince thought to himself.
"What did prince Louis tell you exactly?"
Asher interrupted asking.
Elmer thought for a good second before replying,
"He said I will take care of it and then signal for you to come in"
The red haired knight was reminded by the day Louis fought his attackers and almost killed them.
The sharp merciless look that reminded him of Leo, the prince who was ready to kill if he had to.
"Take care of what?"
Ezra suddenly asked.
"The guards?"
Elmer replied.
While hearing his own words, the prince went quiet again, trying to collect and connect all of the missing dots.
"He would not-"
Elmer said in sock.
"What?"
Ezra asked.
"There is no signal"
Asher replied.
"Let's go, NOW"
Elmer said while rushing towards the palace gates.
The throne room's door was closed behind the second prince.
