FOR the past couple of months, the davis-gilmore twins had made an agreement. every two weeks the two would go and visit their mom who was getting treatment for a tumor that was in her lung, although it wasn't working, the doctors still had to try.
it was currently that time and cassie and ryan walked in through the doors of the hospital building, discussing their lives.
"so in the past couple of weeks, you ran off and got married to my best friend, sage's music is doing amazing, dan and nate are business partners, and dan moved into my place. i can't tell if i love or hate my life" cassie chuckled. "well i'm married and i love my life" ryan said as cassie smiled.
"i'm still mad about not being invited" cassie widened her eyes. "it was sudden, we wanted to get married so we dropped asher off, booked a first class suite on a private plan then flew to greece and got married" ryan laughed. "i'm joking, i'm so happy for you! its about time though" cassie chuckled as they checked themselves in, and walked up to monica's doctor.
"hello, you two" the doctor smiled at the two adults as they walked up to her. "hey dr.harper" ryan spoke, "any changes?" cassie asked. "same as last time, sorry guys. you can head in" he gave a small smile.
the two walked into the hospital room and saw monica lying on the bed, practically almost lifeless. "hey" ryan said softly as he sat down on a chair next to the hospital bed as cassie sat opposite. "hey guys" monica mumbled.
"how are you?" cassie asked. "well the only way i actually have any energy is because of the medication i'm on and without it i feel numb, so" monica laughed but interrupted by several uncontrollable coughs.
"sorry about that, how are allison and asher?" monica asked. "well asher's vocabulary is getting better, and he takes care of allison at daycare all the time, its so cute" ryan smiled. "well he takes after his father thats for sure" she sent a smile back as cassie took a breath.
"well allison keeps me and nate up half the night, she's so fussy in the morning and refuses to eat" cassie sighed. "just like you as a baby" monica replied, as cassie bit the inside of her cheek. "well how would you know?" cassie sarcastically stated as her brother quietly sent her a look from in front. monica seeing her son's frown and being slightly shocked from her daughter's comment spoke, "its okay she earned it" monica responded as the twins received a beep on their phones.
"oh geez cass, rufus is suing dan, nate and the spectator for the article the spectator published" ryan said as cassie mouth dropped in shock, "wait what?!" she pulled out her phone and read the gossip girl blast. "oh my god" she leaned her head onto the wall next to her.
"wait whats happening?" monica asked, unknowing everything that had been happening since she was in jail, and now on bedrest. "ivy dickens conned the vanderwoodsen family, and rufus was exposed for dating her, and the spectator wrote about that. "rufus and lily divorced?" monica asked as cassie stood up. "yeah a while ago, i should go" she mumbled as she walked out.
